Vazquez was down in the first. He got up to win on points. Khan just should have got up and won on points.
It just tells you Prescott is very easy to outbox if you do not rush in like an idiot and give him chances to land his only decent punch (left-hook). Show him some angles and he is a buffoon. His power also noticeably fades. I didn't award Prescott too many rounds after the first couple, it was fairly conclusive.
Lets just say Khan does not need to face him in the near future now, which I am sure Warren is happy about. Prescott's accuracy is woeful when someone actually moves their head a bit and he never uses the jab (a bit ironic how he knocked the guy down with a jab) to build up to an attack, he just loads up every time. He has some tools, he just doesn't use them.
With Prescott losing I think the most interesting question is, what does he do next? No-one had heard of him pre-Khan and he can no longer live off of that result. It's a **** situation for him and shows boxing politics at it's worst with Khan going on to a world title fight.
surprised at this one. wrote his opponent off. some good judges on here got it spot on though. either khan just got caught or he really isn't very good. tonight will provide some more answers. :thumbsup
In not so harsh terms this is correct. Khan has now hopefully become slightly more intelligent because of this loss.
Why is anyone here actually surprised? I dont get it. What did anyone see in Prescott that made them think he was a world beater? The guy is a very simple 1 2 guy thats it.
I aint i thought he'd win but i don't think he's anything great. In a previous post i watched him 4 times and 2 times he been good the other two poor. Needs to get a good trainer and work on his boxing because he does have something to work with.
