Because he knocked him out cold in the first round, and people want to see if this was a 'fluke' like Khan fans claim it was, or if it is the more likely scenario that Khan can't handle taller opponents who can punch. Is that too much to ask? Surely if it was a fluke and Khan would just wipe Prescott out in a rematch, his fans and indeed Khan himself would be clamouring for a rematch? Prescott has proved himself to be not so effective against other opponents, but he was very effective against Khan, which is why the deserves the rematch against Khan.
Since the Khan win, Prescott has gone on to blow every big fight that he's been given the opportunity of being in. After his Vasquez defeat, he had the chance to remind everyone what he's about on Khan's undercard against a decent name. What does he do? Lose every single round in front of same crowd he made himself famous in the first place. He's then given another shot at another known fighter with a good following, and yup, he loses. Finally, he's put on the undercard of a ****ing Pacquiao event against another respectable opponent that would earn him the respect he needed. But nope, instead of winning it, he spends the best part of the build-up calling out Khan (like he’d been doing in the previous fights he’d been losing in) and fails to win atsch Four ****ing years he’s been living off those 54 seconds, whilst not doing anything remotely significant. He’s made himself irrelevant. No one talks about him unlesses he's losing fights or calling out Khan.
Khan isn't exactly on top of the world himself. Prescott's been fighting young, hungry, evenly matched opponents, whereas Khan's been fighting tailor made midgets or guys who are washed up. Anyway, the fact remains that Prescott blew Khan away in under a round, Khan thinks it was a fluke, why wouldn't he want the rematch? Surely you know of Khan's pride and penchant for fighting bums, if he really thought he could beat Prescott he would jump at the chance. He wants to avenge Garcia, why not Prescott? The fact is he knows he has zero chance against tall heavy handed opponents, whereas he feels he was beating Garcia til he got carried away, so sees Garcia as beatable as long as he stays on his bike and keeps him at range. Everybody wants to know if the Prescott fight was a fluke or if the more likely scenario is true: That Khan cannot handle tall heavy handed opponents. Think about it, Khan has shown he is incapable of change or improvement. Feather fisted midget Molina recently caught Khan several times, what would happen differently if he fought Prescott again? Nothing. Prescott would just punch through his non existent defence, hit him on the chin and knock him out again. Prescott and probably anyone like him is a nightmare for Khan, Khan relies on small guys, preferably with zero power, in order to keep getting wins and create the illusion he is a great fighter.
It would do Khan's career some good to rematch and beat Prescott, it would definitely get fans interested in him again, but I doubt Khan wants to risk doing the electric slide in the first round again.
I'd say hes got a point. Khan got terribly embarrassed and annihilated within seconds and he is acting like he is too good to fight him now. If I had been destroyed like that and honestly thought I had risen above my former opponents level, my first priority would be to erase any doubt in a rematch.
Kotelnik Malignaggi Judah Maidana Peterson Garcia. Name one of these young, hungry, evenly-matched opponents of Prescott that matches up to the above tailor-made midget that Khan's been facings. ****, even the guy he lost to (McCloskey) was someone who Khan put into a useless shell and doesn't make the above list. You're a joke, Jerome. :hi:
Kotelnik - tailor made midget and weak champ. Malignaggi - tailor made, way too small and feather fisted, logistically impossible for him to beat Khan. Judah - washed up and didn't even try. Maidana - gave Khan a hell of a fight, almost knocked him out, but just too small and ref refused to let him fight on the inside. Peterson - small but moe determined than most Khan opponents, which is why he beat Khan. Garcia - hand picked cos he looked one dimensional, but ultimately his power and determination was underestimated as he knocked Khan out. Khan is the joke and you are a bigger one for not seeing it.
Hi pal, serious question here; Would you suck the black of Breidis Prescott's **** if it meant you got the chance to see Amir Khan get KO'd again?
Well, nearer the time maybe, but Pac really did move on leaps and bounds above the level of Singsurat. Look at Pac's oppoents compared to Khan's! Khan has stayed at the same level, but has been marketed and steered to create the illusion he is a great fighter, beating weak or washed up champions. Pac went on to become a great, and anyway Pac wasn't blown away with the first punch that landed, whereas Khan was. Pac also wasn't as high profile at the time of his losses, also he didn't boast how those guys ho beat him were leagues below him now, also those guys have not to my knowledge even shown interest in a rematch, whereas Prescott has. To summarise, there are numerous reasons why that comparison is irrelevant, and anyway it's for another thread. This one is about Khan avoiding Prescott, which to anyone other than a blind or gullible fool, is obvious.
You are completely missing the point, and seem very naive to how boxing works. 'Better' doesn't work in boxing. Styles make fights, those guys were suited to Khan, not Prescott, which is why Khan's team picked them. Prescott may well have beaten them but he hasn't yet had the chance as he has fought more honest opposition instead of cherry picking, so naturally he is further down the rankings. Also, two of the guys you mentioned beat Khan, so if they also beat Prescott, so what? The fact is, Khan is avoiding Prescott, look how vengeful and bitter he is over Garcia...why were such emotions missing after the Prescott fight? :hi:
No, but even if I was willing to, I wouldn't need to, I'd just sit back and let nature take its course.
