Its a good fight. Khan would be extremely nervous in the early rounds so he'd be vulnerable. Unless it's an early blowout you'd have to think Khan would get caught at some point, and could he take it? Prescott is average but he has the 1 thing (or 2 things rather) that can and have already done Khan.
Khan or the HBO interviewer (cant remember the guys name) would have mentioned it post fight. No chance of this happening. Just fight Maidana and earn some respect.
I doubt Prescott lands anything on Khan if there is a rematch. Khan was naive with his gameplan, struggling to make weight and had the wrong trainer when they fought...those problems have been put to bed now and he'd beat Prescott easily IMO. I think this is the perfect fight for him. A lot of people have demanded that he rematch Prescott before he moves on with his career and he will be criticised until he starts fighting big punchers, this is two birds with one stone. If he fought Prescott in July to keep busy and then took Maidana towards the end of the year his "haters" would be clutching at straws for a reason to dislike him (assuming he wins both, which I think he would)
Pointless fight, and will never happen... Freddie said at the last presser for khan-paulie, prescott is not on amir's level, and we have no interest in fighting prescott.... Won't happen.... He will fight Kat next...which I also think is a mismatch in Amir's favor...
Prescott may not land on him, and Khan may be able to stick his middle finger up to people like me and say "**** off". And if he fought him, i really do hope he would be in a position to do this. I just don't see why he would fight this fight, which is a potential banana skin. He has nothing to gain, and it all to lose. By all means lose to an Alexander, or Bradley or even Maidana. But Prescott is not even in that mix, if he was, then it is a different story. Prescott is riding Khan's wave right now, and fair play to him if his call out is enough to get Khan in the ring. But i wouldn't expect this to happen
I think Khan could win using the same gameplan as Mitchell and look better doing it (not intended as a dig a Mitchell, who I am a fan of). Beating Prescott sets the record straight in the eyes of the casual fan and gives Khan a straightforward keep busy fight which is exactly what he seems to be after. If he needs a fight in 10 weeks I don't see them taking Bradley, Alexdaner etc because there's no time for preparation or promotion. Prescott is ideal IMO
im not interested in this at all, it will be an easy win for khan and everyones gonna eat it up to be some kind of great achievement.
never gonna happen,no point what so ever, khans moved on from prescott. whats the point in it,BIG BIG step back
i know khan would love to beat him but prescott has done **** all since winning khan so i think khan should move on. we all know khan is better then prescott.
I know what you're saying but the fight makes sense for a number of reasons. The fight would sell and Khan can avenge his defeat and silence some critics about him avoiding big punchers. Also, Khan wants a fight before Ramadan, Maidana is injured, Bradley is fighting, think Alexander also has a fight on the horizon, and for by that it would be unrealistic to expect him to be ready for one of these guys in 8 weeks. Prescott however....
Never underestimate the power of fear. Khan will be very wary of Prescott and it could be a good warm up fight if he cant get one of the big names. Lennox Lewis is always getting praise for avenging his losses and had he not done so his legacy wouldnt be as good as it is now imo
