I'd give Khan a lot more respect than I do now if he does attempt to avenge his defeat, however i think that if Prescott lands flush Amir will be in serious trouble.
Can see why Precott wants this fight; it is a no lose situation for him and knows he has the power to KO him and this probably would be his only realistic chance of winning a world title. Khan does not need to take this fight but I would respect him a lot more if he did and tried to avenge his defeat. Khan should win but as ever with Khan there is always that one problem...
What do you mean "get a shot"? It's a paper title ffs. If Prescott wants the rematch Khan should bite his hand off.
I think Khan will smash **** out of him this time. Prescott doesnt deserve a title shot, Khan has come a long long way since that defeat, where as prescott has gone nowhere and just lives off his lucky shot against an over eager, poorly trained, young Khan, he wont be fighting that boy again
I don't doubt that kahn would love to try put the record straight. But it's the people around him that wont want any thing to do with this. IMO it's a fight that would sell in the UK.
:nono WTF does deserve have to do with it? You honestly think Khan earned his title shot against Kotelnik by headbutting Barrera into submission?
Prescott isn't on Khans level???? He starched him in a minute not too long ago. He is the perfect opponent for a non title fight at end of July. A chance for revenge against a name (who got his name by beating Khan). Since the Prescott fight Khan (who is undeniably talented) has fought: ***an who is not very good A very old MAB Kotelnik - decent win Salita - worse than ***an Malinaggi - decent opponent but tailor made for Khan's skills. Khan has the tools to be a great but he hasn't shown them yet (I believe that he will end up genuine top 5 in his division on merit, but then I believed that Audley would be a great addition to the HW scene.) Seeing is believing.
considering his options for july 31st its a brilliand ploy and a good chance against a banger and avenging that loss will be brilliant then afeter that they can get to the table and get maidana bradley and alexander in a tourney
First off the cheating Mexican **** deserved it, secondly I am convinced that a Prescott title fight wouldn't get sanctioned. If he fights him it will be an old school non title affair.
Accidental head clash is hardly head-butting your opponent into submission, MAB carried on, on his accord, if he wanted to stop, would have been a no contest.
Considering he's back it in July (apparently I'm not convinced) this is the very good interesting fight if we are being realistic other then maybe Ajose Olusegan or the other B/C level 140lb fighters would be of no interest in all honesty. I think Amir deserves a lot of credit for looking to be out 8 weeks after his fight against Paulie. I personally think it would be a silly risk for him to go looking for Katsidis with such a short period to prepare and Prescott is something of a worse version of Maidana so for me this would clearly be the perfect way to prepare for a fight against the Argentinian. If it was on ITV then that would be a great showcase for Amir.
