Prescott was always over-hyped, mostly by himself. Whenever he fights, and loses he beats the Amir Khan drum every time. The win was more fluke than anything, he beat Amir Khan and then suddenly lost this great form? No, he never had it in the first place which is why it hasn't been seen since.

Prescott is a more than solid test for good fighters, it'd have been a tough test for Brook a year ago but Brook is beyond that level now.

Plenty of fights out there for him and he will always have some name value.

It was at worst a draw for Prescott, think i had him winning by a point in the end, without the atamina problems McCloskey would have been stopped, he was lucky that Prescotts workrate dropped enough for him to get a foothold.

I had Prescott winning by two rds. But I was going for Breidis and gave him 2 rounds that were close enough to go either way depending on who you liked in the fight.
Surely if Breidis hadn't tired trying to stop McCloskey early he likely would have ended it around 10 or 11 when Mccloskey looked susceptible to bigger shots as his defense opened up.

funny how mccloskey was demanding a rematch from khan but wasnt so quick to give one to presscot after a controversial win.

He would have been better off just controlling with the jab for a bit longer and like you stated McCloskey would have still got desperate but Prescott would have had more in the tank to do further damage. Problem is that Prescott despite having a little bit of talent seems content with being a gatekeeper and providing a test instead of pushing forward and trying to develop as a fighter.

He's a bad stench that doesn't go away. He's not done a single meaningful thing since Khan. And it's not like he hasn't had any opportunities either. He gets to fight on Khan's undercard against a well-known Brit where he can remind the whole country that Khan has to rematch him, and is made to look a fool for 12 rounds. He gets to go Ireland to show he can outperform Khan against a common opponent, and loses a decision. Then, he fights on Pac-JMM's card infront of a worldwide audience, and gasses in a 10 round fight to be knocked out. Come the **** on, Prescott. Don't you think you've ridden on those 54 seconds long enough?

I remember when Prescott cracked Khan's chin in so many pieces some of them landed 20 rows back, Khan got up and did the Electric Slide before being put to sleep again.
    I'll always remember that.

Why does Prescott want a rematch?

Why hasn't Prescott gone onto bigger and better things after KO'ing Khan?
