prescott needs a quality strength and conditioning coach..... tires late in fights....

Prescott is more fringe contender than journeymen

He earned a solid victory, never got enough attention for it, and is trying to make some money out of it. I hope you know it's his life and job.

Mediocre fighters?, you really are foolish. Alvarado(undefeated), Mitchell(Undefeated at the time), McCloskey(good fighter). If anything, Prescott is underrated and is out there to fight everyone. Isn't Amir Khan supposed to call out a fighter that blew him away under a minute?. From the looks of things, Prescott is the one interested in a rematch and he's getting hate for it? :patsch

His next opponent is another highly regarded undefeated prospect. Amir Khan's biggest victory since his loss to Prescott in 2008 is Maidana in an life and death affair(The guy an ancient Morales schooled).

It's obvious Prescott is a gatekeeper, he even indirectly admits he's one. At least he's looking to fight the best, I don't understand the hate for that. The man wants to do the talking in the ring, not on twitter.

He took a risk against Alvarado and threw everything he had in hopes to get a stoppage. That's what cost him the fight, Alvarado's insane punch resistance and will.

McCloskey showed how limited Prescott was. I remember the post fight interview with McCloskey, and he was talking about how Prescott's power was nothing special (even though he did drop him!), once he tired mid-way through the fight, Paul was saying he didn't have to worry about it either. He had a huge lead in that fight, and credit to McCloskey he fought hard to turn it around. Paul M is a hard guy to look good against, so that's not all Khan's fault.

Furthermore, I never called Prescott a bum, I simply pointed out that his power is overrated, which is true. He is a gatekeeper at best, and would get soundly outboxed by Kell Brook, especially at 147, do you disagree?

If only his stamina wasn't so ****. I thought he clearly beat McCloskey and was clearly beating Alvarado. Dude has talent, but mindset and conditioning are holding him back.

He didn't even drop him, it was a clothesline that knocked mccloskey off balance. McCloskey fought like a ****ing idiot basically, not to mention his nose was smashed from the 3rd round onwards thanks to his silly attempts to counter from the outside against a guy with monster reach.

that fight was no "robbery", but I will concede McCloskey was very lucky to be given the nod

Prescott is a good fighter but his stamina is horrendous.

you'd think Prescott would be calling more for an Alvarado rematch aswell considering how badly he was brutalising him before simply gassing (again)

Fair points. Yes, his power is overrated, he would likely get stopped, not just outboxed, against Brook, but far more people call him a bum than they do give him credit for anything, including his less-than-stellar power at 140. I was just trying to reverse some of the rabid hatred he gets when he gives exciting fights and is still better than most people give him credit, so I apologize if I came off as rude.
