actually it was getting jelly legged and put down by Craig Watson just before turning pro then getting dropped by gomez/limond etc that put questions over his chin, Prescott sparking him out was not some kind of surprise for those of us watching khans fights (I picked prescott to win, he was the first fighter khan had fought naturally bigger than him with a high KO percentage) but this thread is like 6 years too late, why we going back to prescott 6 years ago when everybody including me picked maidana to obliterate khan(after saying khan would never fight him of course) and he didn't even put khan down

give the guy credit where its due, we all know khan has bad punch resistance, we dont need to talk about it every second of every day

    What a ******.:patsch

Are you one of those guys who doesn't understand how a hard puncher (Maidana) can't put fighter A down (Khan) with a big shot then a lighter puncher (Prescott) can?

It has as much to do with the type of punch and were it lands as it does with the fighter punching and getting hit.

Do you believe that any boxer would have been still standing after that wild Prescott hook if it landed? How many do you believe would have got back up? The difference is not all boxers get hit with it, and once they've seen a boxer do it once they work there game plan around him trying it again.

Khan was pushed by Limond, and I don't know if a punch from Drilzdane knocked him down.

Have great fighters never lost a fight early on in their careers? Have not they got caught cold in 1st rounders? R u insane when you proclaim Wladimir Klitschko to be an ATG HW when he was found how many times searching for change on the canvas? What about Roy? What about Tommy? What about Julian Jackson? What about Terry Norris? Just Shut up your stinkers!

I'm not so sure, it's an interesting fight but Broners lack of footwork and appaling defence means Khan could hit and move around him all night, that being said it could take 1 Broner attack and Khan would be in trouble, an interesting fight.

i considered Prescott to be the biggest punching Lightweight at the time.

just because you don't have big wins by KO and such, doesn't mean you're not packing some real heat in your hands.

Shavers, Peters and Tua were big punchers, but what big wins do they really have??

Well spotted. Looking at his record he's not a big puncher at all, he's only had 2 wins by stoppage since he fought Khan 5.5 years ago.

His opposition prior to Khan was awful and since stepping up a level he's not had the success expected after the Khan win.

Only thing worse than Khan's chin is his defence. He's improved since losing to Prescott but the same big flaws are there.
