Yeah he sure got his ass kicked.

Got dropped at least once from jabs, maybe 2 or 3 times... Can't remember. He got hurt repeatedly and never could get in the fight...

I'd like to know what was going on there, if it was weight trouble or something else.

honeyghan was stronger, and pro style did not suit Breland as well as amateur did.

    Honeyghan was shot to pieces.

Starling was the one who had both their numbers; ruined Honeyghan, who was probably a bit on the slide anyway.

Not detracting from Breland's performance on that night, but Honeyghan looked cold at the weight.

I was at that fight, in my opinion the evident start of Honeyghan's downslide was the Starling fight, but it's possible he was already on the wane. By the time he fought Breland, his punch resistance had gone, he was very likely gone at the weight, his reflexes had gone, and he was caught cold by Breland...hence the ass whoopin'...just my opinion though...

Remember it well, felt terrible for Lloyd after what he did before the fight, made himself look a right tit.Breland looked immense but Honeyghan was a shadow of his former self.

TS - I think you are likely right. I hate to admit this as I was a huge Lloyd fan back in the day; we were brought up in the same part of London, a mile or so away from each other; but I happen to think Breland's power from distance would always have been troublesome for Lloyd...

Like I say, I hate to admit that...

If you are so set on your opinion why start the thread and ask for others?
