Brett Rogers: "None Of Those Guys Will Ever Fight Me"

How do you know that? Who the hell has Rogers beaten other than a china chinned Arlovski that makes you say "Annihilate". I'd say Rogers has a chance, but unlike those jobbers Rogers beat at Elite Xc and that dude with the dreds he first fought at Strikeforce, Rogers hasn't seen **** like a Mirko Cro Cop in front of him before. "****ing kill him"? **** no.

 

Arlovski is not a **** fighter, Rogers smashed him like noone else has. He's also done pretty admirably in his losing effort to Fedor. If he fought like he did against Fedor against Cro Cop, he'd either knock him out or win a one sided decision. Cro Cop is way too gunshy to do what Fedor did.

 

I think you people riding Rogers are giving him more Credit than he deserves. So just because he KO'd Arlovski like noone else has that really means something?

Arlovski has been KO'd brutally against Rizzo, Sylvia, & Fedor. Getting his lights shut off again wasn't new. When you get you're lights shut off once (or in Arlovski's case 3 times in the past) it's easy for it to happen again.

If anything he was coming off a KO loss to Fedor when he fought Rogers. Rogers took it right at him and got him out of there. If Rogers tried that **** with Mirko, he's walking into danger. You're really bugging out.

 

Danger of what? When was the last time Cro Cop was explosive and knocked someone out? The guy barely kicks anymore. If someone is aggressive with him he just backs off and tries to throw straight punches. Rogers smashes him. Not a case of riding Rogers, just a style thing. Anyone who's really aggressive and at least pretty good could beat Cro Cop now.

 

He stopped Choi last year & Al Turk this year.

And yes I mentioned Choi & Al Turk. Nobody's right?

Just like the majority of Rogers resume. (Fedor & a shot Arlovski aside) A list of Nobody's.

I don't see how Arlovski is shot, unless we work under the assumption that Fedor beat a shot Arlovski too.

 

And Rogers was pulling Ron Humphrey's dreds. **** just happens.

And Arlovski wasn't the same since Sylvia knocked him out. Don't make it sound like Andrei when he fought Rogers was at the status he was at before Sylvia tapped his jaw.

Fedor simply put another crack in Andrei's china glass.

Nope I am not. Cro Cop clearly isn't what he was a few years ago. However that doesn't necessarily mean Rogers just runs right through him. Possibly beat him? Yes. But kill him? I disagree. Rogers has never fought an elite Kickboxer, even a shot one always has a chance to KO someone that in reality is still kinda green in Rogers. If you look at what Dos Santos did that's fine. Dos Santos has more talent in his right ass cheek than Rogers has in his whole body.

 

I don't see why a guy who survived a competitive round against the best fighter in the world is really in danger of running in and getting smashed by a shot, gun shy, Cro Cop.

Dos Santos made harder work of CC than he really should have.

 

Rogers gave Fedor a good go. But for some reason people made more of that than what's really the case. He gave Fedor a good 1st round. He gave it a good attempt. But Mark Hunt did also and look what happened to him. Styles makes fights, and it's a POSSIBILITY, NOT A FACT, BUT A POSSIBILITY that Cro Cop can clip Rogers. That's not impossible.

Somebody finally hit Rogers back and look what happened. He got dropped twice and KO'd the 2nd time he fell down.

 

I am ducking Brett Rogers as well. But don't tell him that.

 

Dunno if I'd use Hunt as a good barmoter for Cro Cop. Hunt beat peak Cro Cop convincingly.

Of course, Cro Cop still has power and it's possible he could clip Rogers, but I'd have Rogers an 80-20 favourite going into that fight.

And come on dude, that second punch back would knock anyone out, he did well to stay concious.

 

Of course that second shot would have KO'd anyone, Fedor can hit. Fedor hits very hard. VERY VERY HARD.

And sure Rogers was still a little conscious but he was still unable to continue. My point of bringing up the knockdowns and the KO shot was because I don't think Rogers can take it on the chin to well. I think he's one of those fighters than can dish out an ass whipping but seems a little iffy if he can take one himself.

 

I don't think it's fair to judge him against Fedor, though. I just don't see why he gets such a hard time on here.

If you don't think Rogers has done anything, what has Velasquez done? Had a tough win over Kongo and beaten Rothwell who got beaten by Arlovski who got smashed by Rogers?
