Lamon Brewster, anyone want to discuss him? If anyone will deserve a title shot out of older fighters that have been discussed out of late, it would be him in a fight or two....he's actually been putting in the work to comeback, and not just talking **** to get a title shot. So, who should he fight? could a title eliminator be made? what belt? Personally, I'd like to see him in with (anyone) Chambers, Mcline/Arreola, Sosnowski, Thompson, Maskaev, Ruiz, or Toney....even Johnson, cause that guy has been quiet lately...I think a fight with any of these guys could lead to a title shot or at least an eliminator A third Wlad fight could make a decent trilogy depending on Brewster's condition Thoughts?
Brewster was actually a sparring partner for Sosnowski to prepare him for Danny Williams. Personally I think Brewster should fight someone in the top 30 to get back in the mix. Ray Austin, Rahman, Toney, or Barret would be good.
WBA is the way to go. I don't see him beating either Klit at the moment. But he definatly could beat Valuev and maybe Chagaev. HW WBA is pretty much Don King owned... so he should try to get in the mix by beating a Don King fighter like Austin or Peter or Holyfield.
I think there are a few great fights to be made for Brewster, once he gets some momentum going. Tua comes to mind, first. Or maybe PEter, if Peter were to gain some confidence and get a win or two, first.
Brewster has a good name, he could get many interesting fights in the US. Briggs, Peter, Arreola, Tua, Maskaev, Toney, Rahman, Chambers, Monte, are some of the names that come to mind. He's been interested in a fight with irish Martin Rogan. I also believe the WBA belt is the right way for him to go.
