So after two back to back fights in France. Brian Castaño will make the second defense of his WBA Regular belt against the former best fighter in the division, Erislandy ''The American Dream'' Lara.

    Who are you guys picking?

lara is too big and too slippery to get KOd in this fight, i suspect, but i think castano will outwork him and get a decision even if audiences believe lara won. judges are gonna favour castano all day long here.

Still think that Castano will take a beating. I think Lara will be throwing fast balls in this one.
    Castano won't handle the heat....

For a bloke who's best win is Soro (and he lost on one card!!), this bloke has some ridiculous hype.

FFS I have heard people say he is the most underrated fighter out lol.
You shouldn't get rated by potential ffs, you get rated by actual wins and he has won sweet f all.

He get's the hype because he's young, undefeated, looks great in the ring so far and has some good wins on the road at this stage of his career. Additional he has wins over Spence and Derevyanchenko in the amateurs. So the hype is based on a solid base here imo.

He has 1 decent win as a pro and he got an SD. Looking good against lower level blokes is quite normal tbh.

Can't give him much credit for amateur wins, especially the Spence win. Spence is a different guy now.
Derevyanchenko is also a bit overrated himself.

He beat Soro in a much cleaner fashion than the scorecards suggesting and he beat up Vitu for 12 rounds. Two good wins on the road after beating mostly bums. I think we can say he's for real. He looks great. Nice angles, great punch selection, variety, footwork, boxer & slugger, cutting off the ring very well. He might be one of those guys who's having his coming out party in such a fight like Lara. Or he's getting exposed. We'll find out soon but saying Castano doesn't look impressive...i don't know. There are not many fighters in the world which are having 13 fights and travelling to Europe and fighting two "big" names. IMo Castano deserve ssome credit for his last two fights.
