Been a while since I started a RBR thread. Seems like this is as good an occasion as any to do another. :D

The main event is kind of intriguing in terms of style matchup, even though there's, like, anywhere between .00000000001 to 6.666909302 percent chance of an upset taking place.

Ah crap, I didn't see it on the first page. No worries, man. I'll find another to start before the end of the year.

Wale is heavy-handed and gutsy enough to always be in with a puncher's chance, but yeah, I'd be very (pleasantly) surprised if he were to pull this off.

As for the co-main, war Cuellar...although I'd be far less excited and he's less of an underdog.

You're good. I'll delete mine. I won't be able to do it anyway. I'm all in for Berchelt-Sosa and Kovalev. I did fix the title though.:D

OK, cool. Thanks. I wasn't sure if I would have had enough title space to do full names for all participants.

As a general rule, and this is me being old school, I kind of prefer fighting name (and possibly nickname) for the title of RBR threads that I do. Think how the fight would be presented on old programs or posters. But since most everyone on the RBR crew has adopted the current form, I figured I should do the same.

I don't bear Castaño any ill will; I'm sort of neutral-warm on him ..just a biiiiig Lucky Boy fan and would be stoked to see him grab a high-value signature scalp like this.

Ryan Karl (17-2) VS Bergman (15-5-1) 10 rounds, welterweight.

    Wild, sloppy slugfest so far.

Aguilar caught Karl when Cowboy was lunging in with a left hand to the chin that wobbled him and made him genuflect on the canvas. Karl, to his credit, has responded by bum rushing the Nicaraguan southpaw to the ropes, and whacking away to the body and head with hooks. He also went south of the border in the third and got a stern warning.

    28-28 after three.

Round 4 to Karl, who actually worked off the back foot and boxed behind the jab for a couple of minutes before resuming the attack and driving Aguilar to the ropes. Bergman looks pretty gassed at this point.

Stopped in the corner due to what looks a hand injury to Aguilar.

    Karl wins RTD 5.

    Very much so. WYSIWYG.

David Morrell Jr. (1-0) vs Quinton Rankin (15-6-2), Light Heavyweight.

Morrell Jr is ostensibly only an inch taller and was actually lighter at the weigh in. But he looks a lot bigger...and given that he's a product of the vaunted Cuban amateur system...was also a lot better in terms of skill, too.

Anyway, he pretty much took the fight to Rankin and whipped combinations at the poor guy, who defended about as well as he could until finally going down under the onslaught. Rankin did well to rise and make it through the round, but it was more of the same in the second. A right sent Quinton reeling back into a corner, and an uppercut dropped him to his knees. That, as they say, was that.

    Morrell Jr. KO 2.
