Double O still getting in licks but nothing clean enough to change the complexion of the fight..and the complexion of the fight, as things stand now, is that he is shipping MAJOR punishment. :ohno

I don't want to see this go much longer.

    Round 1 Castano 10-9
    Round 2 Castano 10-9
    Round 3 Castano 10-9
    Round 4 Castano 10-9
    Round 5 Castano 10-9

Almost a 10-8, Omotoso's left shoulder is gone. Castano dominated the last half of the round with vicious combinations.

Castano is a ****ing beast. He and Jrock need to throw down to decide the best fighter at the weight.

Wale injured his shoulder and got ****ing tooled in round 5. No need to let that go on any longer than that.

Hopefully Castano signs with Uncle Al since the big names of the division are on the PBC side. :chuck:

Castaño's résumé has gone in 2½ years from being awful for a hyped amateur star with 13 pro bouts to all of a sudden ridiculously good for a guy with 17 bouts. Omotoso is the weakest of that run of four consecutive opponents, but is a very good scalp (especially given the method).

Regardless of how one feels about (or for whom they scored) the split decisions with Soro & Lara, you have to admit that knocking out Vitu & Omotoso signals that he's the goods.

    Final stats:

    Castaño 138 of 386, 36%
    Omotoso 54 of 305, 18%

    Damn.

In retrospect, this turned out to be a decent bit of product placement on PBC's part. Fortuna-Cuellar was probably overshadowed by Garcia-Duno, but, at the very least, the main event ran unchallenged by other boxing matches, allowing hardcore boxing fans to turn their full attention to Castaño's dominating performance against a determined Omotoso.

Worked out yeah but they couldn't have possibly known Duno was going to get folded in a round.
