Brian Castano vs. Erislandy Lara eyed for january

Castano has some size to him. But for his age (29), and having only 15 fights, how ready is he? Has he peaked in development?

 

Hopefully Lara can bounce back.

 

If Lara can wind back the clock and use his footwork, he will win, if Castano can close the gap he will win.

Thought Lara and Williams were going to tangle? This is a good fight as well.

 

You enjoy the effort he at times puts in I take it? Cuban boxer mover with average power. Uses his legs, doesn't have a high work rate. Is fairly one dimensional offensively, either jab, or straight left cross, mixed in the the rare hook. Fairly tight defense, uses his legs and a high guard. Doesn't seem like the type of boxer you are fond of.

 

Yeah, that is an admirable trait. When he's on his game, I'm a fan, when he's not on his game like in Martyrosian I, and Molina, I'm left scratching my head. I thought he won the Canelo fight, but also felt he got on his bike a bit to much. So much so that it turned into running. I have no problem with moving, but detonate some **** on the opponent while doing it.

 

Lara has the style of one who ages very poorly. It'll be interesting to see if he does anything from here out.

 

I'll take that bet. 5-0 in Avi bets, you'll be my 6th victim. Castano is pretty good but lacks big fight experience and Lara is just as slick, maybe slicker. His legs have allowed him to be more in front of you, but he can still move and counter when need be. I think Castano gets exposed here.
