    Thank you for sharing this...

The Bantam/Feather i suspect was Craig Dermody, a real nice little fighter, and Mark Levy was a decent guy, i remember picking him up once along with a few other amateurs, and he was so big (or my car was small "ford orion") and one of the other Ams had to sit on his knee all the way to the show!!

Yes it was Dermody! And Levy was a long, tall fellow, haha.

Thanks for the reply and sharing the story.

We lost a good man in Brian Hughes.

Yup Levy was so long we had to move the passenger seat forward, which left no room in the front!!

When we took him to the grocery store for the first time, I think he spent like 90 minutes just going up and down the aisles looking at all the variety we had. He’d never seen anything like it.

I remember him getting a pound of chicken salad and a pound of three-bean salad from the deli and the next day he had eaten it all, haha.

Very good, likable guy. We wrote back and forth for a time. His mum I think it was even sent me a Christmas card. I hope he’s doing well.

Great thread. I think the most fitting tribute to Brian’s legacy is those who he himself trained when they were fighters are now credible, good trainers themselves such as Michael Jennings and Pat Barrett.
