This was before Brian London's encounter with Ingo in 1963.

The riot at the beginning is from London's fight with D1ck Richardson.

I heard that Williams was afraid to fight Richardson, was afraid to harm him.

Great to see someone post on a little-talked about fight from one of boxing's golden eras.

Brian London was a bit basic, but he was gutsy, relentless. What he lacked in finesse, he often made up with heart and determination. He was given no chance in his two title shots, which he probably didn't deserve and the press in Britain mocked him a bit, he was never considered the best in the country. But he could be a real handful when his mind was on the task.

Gave Cooper hell and defeated a decent version of Zora Folley.

Great to see, many thanks. What a tough life, think how much Hunter would have been paid for that. Glad Sugar Ray’s manager pulled him out, away from that brave referee!
London, never did get that rematch against Billy goat Richardson. Brian was outclassing the 4” taller lump, before being butted out of their only fight.
Similar fouls had, had him disqualified, against DeJohn & Williams.
Referee sleeping in the London fight, unfortunately!
