Magee could well be a world champion in 2011

After a 38-fight professional career and a 36th birthday to look forward to next year, Northern Ireland’s Brian Magee might finally be about to fight for a world title.
Magee who vacated his European super-middleweight title after his first defence back in September could well be facing WBA world champion Dimitri Sartison early next year.
Talking to Ulster TV, Magee said “Hopefully in the New Year, January or February I’d say, I’m going to be fighting for the world title. They are in discussions at the minute to try and get things ironed out, but, you know these things never go easy. Fingers crossed I’ll have some good news in the coming weeks.”

Hes not much compared to the Super Six guys and Bute but hes a very handy fighter indeed. Since getting outclassed and brutally stopped by Kessler hes beaten a couple decent guys. Clearly beat Gevor in his last fight who was unlucky to not get the nod against Sturm.

Whoever the favourite is will depend where its held IMO.

The belt Sartison holds is a load of tosh though...why exactly was Ward promoted to WBA super duper champion?
