Brian Magee is possible opponent for Bute's next fight

I clearly stated Magee has been on a good run since but he is not at the level Froch and Ward have been facing.

His team could of made fights with Pascal but they chose not to. He will fight Magee and Mendy in routine defences before fighting the super six winner who will becoming of the back of 4-5 tough fights.

 

Good to hear he is in with a shout of the fight...would have prefered him to have to fight a couple more top class fighters to get his shot but that is not the way it works these days and obviously not how Bute wants to do things.....Bute is the Romanian Anthony Mundine.

Great opportunity for Magee here. He's the underdog but a very live one as no-one knows how good Bute really is. Bute should be fighting higher ranked fighters than this and its a joke that some people rank him at no1 at super middle.

Different levels here. Bute is everything Magee would love to be as a southpaw. Too fast, too much artillery. Magee is solid though, but I think this one will be over in 6.

 

there's not much out there for Bute right now , the pascal fight werent gonna happen so Magee is sadly the next best opponent.

 

If Magee has a bit more pop in his punches I'd give him a decent enough chance but I can't see him hurting Bute and despite being a very polished, composed and tidy boxer, I think Bute just has too much for him in the power department. Bute by KO.

it would be a huge upset if magee took bute the distance never mind won.

and if he did somehow win, froch's legacy would be even stronger!
