Well, I just hope Magee doesn't get seriously hurt. Bute is going to really enjoy himself in this fight. Magee is a warrior and will probably fight until the end like he did vs Froch. He took a horrible KO in that fight and I can see him splattered on the canvas in the proverbial heap if the corner/ref don't intervene. We don't need another Ian John Lewis job and fighters being put into intensive care when the fight should have been stopped several rounds earlier.
I've thought chasing Bute was a mistake ever since it was reported that Magee was doing so. Hopefully he earns his paycheck without it affecting his health, as you say. Bute may actually be a more dangerous puncher than Froch.
i was just going to make a thread on this. magee is tricky. he lost to reid cos of kds. he got jobbed vs tsypko. was running froch close until he got caught. he has turned around his career again but bute is a good fighter. almost a better version of magee - taller, rangier, faster, stronger, more powerful, more skilled etc good to see magee getting a big shot after a string of wins and good belts.
Good luck to him, hope he gets paid well. If he can get into a rhythm in the fight I think he could put up a decent fight against Bute. Don't see him winning or being that close but don't think he would be disgraced.
Even though a loss would be a terrible derailing for Bute (who I like)...rooting like mad for Magee to somehow pull the upset is obligatory here. :thumbsup
Magee gets pulled out around the6th. Bute is a seriously underrated puncher, and strong as **** at the weight. I think this fight has come at the wrong stage of magees career. I don't think Magee does anything as good as bute and will get caught coming in to often, and unfortunately taking too much punishment. I hope he proves me wrong though

I agree, fair enough if he cant get the fights against the big guys at the moment but its people who consider him in the top 3 in the division that baffles me, unless he fights and beats someone in the top 5 he surely cant be considered as an elite fighter
