Speaking of Nielsen I have a question. This guy collected only IBO belt. Would you call him "World heavyweight champion" ? :huh

Ridiculous!! I really dont think Brian Nielsen´s "comeback" is something the danes would like to watch... Maybe if the opponent is Evander Holyfield, they can sell some tickets. But i dont think in my wildest dreams, they can sell out Parken stadium!!
The fight would be like an exibitionfight, with a former great worldchampion and Brian Heavybag Nielsen....I wouldnt go to watch the fight, unless somebody gave me the ticket...Its a little bit sad that these old, financially broke fighters return to the ring after several years lay off....Sad,unhealthy and ridiculous....I think Brian Nielsen has been away from boxing for 7-8 years!! And i dont think he has been in a gym once,in all those years!!! :think:think

No, not really. Everybody knows that Brian Nielsen was not among the best heavies in the world, and that his belt was paper.

On the other hand, I think people were impressed with how far he got, given his lack of skills and athleticism. Of course, Brian owes much of this to Mogens Palles abilities of handling his career.

No absolutely not...He was in some "big" fights, with Larry Holmes,James "bonecrusher" smith,Mike Tyson and was a bronze medallist in the olympics. But never considered a worldchampion..On on paper.
But anyway,he made it pretty far with his if you look at his boxingskills:yep

He had ironchin, and could take a beating.Thats one of the mainreasons he was popular i denmark... He had over 40 fights, and was never knocked out!! He was only dropped ONCE in his career, and that was against Tyson...Who made him quit on the stole between round 6-7 if i remember correctly...A tough SOB
He lost a fight to a guy wich name i dont remember,he was dehydrated. But i dont remember him being dropped in that fight either...

Holyfield certainly cemented his place in the top 20 HW ATG list by going 12 rounds with ATG Valuev. Nielsen should get a crack at Holyfield, should be an exciting fight!

Who is the oldest heavyweight ever to be in a major fight anyway? Seems to me Holy is going to take that record if he keeps this up. :think

Belt holder would be the most appropriate word.

Isnt it the guy on your avatar who´s holding the record atm? :think
But the difference between Holyfield and some of the other older men is,that Holyfield is in shape and well trained...Nielsen is just old...:patsch

He was only the oldest world champion, by my knowledge.

How can you be sad about that? Brain is awesome. The way he embarrassed that brat Jeremy Williams was hilarious.

He took a bulked up Tyson's shots and laughed them off. He dropped his hands and gave Tyson free shots, and Tyson couldn't put him anywhere except for a combo in the third which did not hurt Brian badly.

    And check this:
