Rose lost that. He certainly didn't bag nine of twelve.

Props to him for showing a surprising amount of guts and toughness, however. The dodgy scoring isn't his fault.

    Guttsy, gritty performance.

However he is going to get found out on the world stage.

I scored it as a draw. Maciel landed the crisper shots, but Rose's technical abilities, workrate and defence were better.

The 117-110 score was a disgrace. I scored it a draw but a couple of rounds could have gone either way so, fair result.

Was a close fight the 117-111 card was a disgrace the ref must of been awarding Rose rounds for eating uppercuts.

Brave performance from him & a good fight.

Rose will get KO when he face a champion for sure, not his fault that he won the decision. I had maciel 8-4 , 116-112.

It was a close fight I had mackerel 115-113. Certainly not a robbery as some are suggesting.

Rose won fair and square - not great but a much better boxer than the extremely crude and limited Maciel.

Is it just me or does Rose bear an uncanny resemblance - facially and physique-wise, to Dmitry Pirog?

I scored it 115-113 to Rose, the other fella was very inaccurate and his stamina wasn't great, couple of rounds could of went either way. Very close fight in my opinion.

Fair play tp Rose & good luck to him in his world title fight.

Hard to believe Rose was 4-1 against Prince Arron when he challanged for the British title.

Ridiculous logic. You can be more crude and limited and still win a boxing match. Mayorga vs. Forrest? :hi:

(also, while Maciel did windmill a lot going for the KO last night, it would be a stretch to call him 'crude and limited'. Relative to Rose sure, he is less polished - but intelligent pressure fighting such as Maciel specializes in is a skill set. :deal)

Maciel landed the more hurtful punches and for me also out worked Rose, i think it was a bad decision. If Maciel was a Brit he would have won no doubt whatsoever.
