Clever fight too. Alcine was world class, but as Macklin proved he is a bit past it. However there is still some life left in him as the Lemiuex fight showed- though shouldn't pose too many problems for Rose and increase Rose's rank also.
Realistically it's the best fight anybody could have hoped for and a good step up for him, fair play to everyone in getting it, will obviously vacate British now
Didn't Macklin blast Alcine out in a round a few months back? If Rose is capable of stepping up to world class then he should beat this bloke without many problems.
Good solid test this one! Fair play, Macklin proved he's obviously levels above Rose but we'll see with the measuring stick
When was Alcine 'World class'? When he held a bauble? Or when he was spectacularly sparked each time he stepped up?
Totally see why he's made this fight - a former titlist now on the slide. He's 3(0)-3(3)-1 in his last seven so is clearly way past his best. Does Rose have enough pop to stop him? He's a good boxer with good skills but Alcine is a southpaw(?) who normally boxes his way to wins. Alcine has a chance here. There's a decent English level CW fight on the undercard too. Will Ochieng-Arnfield be for the British...? EDIT: Is Alcine a southpaw I can't remember!
