Rose lands stiff jabs. Carslaw switches stances. They trade some shots. Rose with good counters. Uppercut- Carslaw comes in. Body shots from both, better ones from Rose. Carslaw gets Rose to the ropes but gets countered. Carslaw on the ropes, takes left hooks. Rose is waiting and countering. Rose opens up. Lands some shots. 39-37 Rose. That cut messed Carslaw up. Right on his damn forehead.
Jim Watt also has it level but unlike my card (Carslaw 1 & 2, Rose 3 & 4) he gave Carslaw the 2nd and 3rd.
Like a Catholic on Ash Wednesday. You know...if Mick Jagger came along and said "I see some black ash and I want to paint it red...you will look like you're menstruating from the head..." :!:
I had to take a ****. Rose landed heavy shots. Carslaw landed some of his strongest but too few. This is turning out to be a good scrap. 49-36 Rose
Round 5 Rose is standing firm and blocking as Carslaw wildly jabs and spears rights in, lunging upward and tipping forward. Rose hooks out of his guard, banging around the sides of Carslaw's body. Hooks and looping rights by Rose as he backs up steadily with short paces. Carslaw pitches in more high shots, caught on the pinky area of the glove by Rose as he diligently stays on defense until there's a break in Carslaw's work and then setting to his own. 10-9 Rose 48-47 Rose
Right hand from Carslaw but gets countered hard. Combination from Rose to the head and body. Carslaw comes in and Rose lands another combination. Carslaw is getting countered every time he goes in. Rose is just waiting for the right moment and then he takes advantage of it. Carslaw with a sloppy looping hook, goes off balance and gets trapped on the ropes. 59-55 Rose.
Round 6 Carslaw is jabbing from outside, penetrating Rose's guard. Carslaw is waiting more, throwing single jabs initially and then flurrying fast straight up before Rose can react, or falling out again if Rose has him scouted and ready with a counter punch. 10-9 Carslaw 57-57
Round 7 Carslaw is still throwing more, but Rose has found more openings to put his counters through while edging around and blocking with a mobile guard. Carslaw is landing a few jabs with the back of his glove, flipping them up into the bottom of Rose's chin but paying the price as he gets clocked with a 1-2. Tight and compact boxing from Rose, but still very little activity. 10-9 Rose 67-66 Rose
Round 8 Carslaw is leaning back out of reach of Rose's jab, drawing the bowstring and falling in with high jabs and level rights. Rose is back in 90% defensive mode, blocking a fair amount but hardly doing any countering. Carslaw is getting creative with his combos, putting left hooks behind soaring right hooks past the glove. Quick right hand by Rose. Carslaw keeps falling in and laying a hand on Rose's shoulderblade or low on the cheek if cleanly at all. Very large gap in activity. 10-9 Carslaw 76-76
Round 9 Carslaw jabs, and Rose blocks. Carslaw gets turned around as he dives in to Rose's side, as Rose pivots away and stretches a hand out against the back of his neck. Carslaw is flicking in soft jabs and rights, missing or noiselessly kissing the gloves of Rose. Slapping hook to the body. Lots of tying up. Cuffing hook to the head by Rose while turning Carslaw into the ropes and bouncing away to reset in the middle of the ring. Jab to the face jumping in by Rose, then backing straight up. Rose catches Carslaw charging in with an uppercut and spins him to the ropes. Carslaw is jabbing high and winging underhanded shots to the body. Carslaw falls back out of the way of a right hand by Rose. 1-2 to the guard and then a right to the navel and big left hook to the other side of the body by Rose. Big shot by Carslaw. Carslaw's gum shield is out. 10-9 Rose 86-85 Rose
This won't finish in time for me to join in doing a RBR along with you, but if it goes more than a couple of rounds I might tune in to watch after this one ends. :good
