Watt can't stop beaming over Carslaw's work in the 9th, which he feels the Scotsman won very clearly. :huh

Carslaw is jabbing forward, working an invisible Shake-weight. Not a snappy jab, just trying to herald his arrival and psyche Rose into moving backward. Rose does move backward, but at his own pace, unflappable. Nice 1-2 counter by Rose. Another. Carslaw is diving in, winging hooks to the body while tucking his chin and missing them unseen or not even getting them off before Rose has pulled the chair out from under him. Rose backs up to the ropes and lands a 1-2 as Carslaw dives in. A few uppercuts by Carslaw, caught on the elbows. Rose backs up and blocks a right hand, then a jab. Clinch as Carslaw falls on top of Rose in the corner.

Carslaw's cut has opened up, as it has in every round since appearing but worse than ever. Blood is streaming down several rivulets across his face. Carslaw is circling wide left, moving in with high line drive rights or jabs. Counter straight right by Rose. Carslaw is jabbing straight in, not getting past the guard. Rose is warned by Howard Foster for leaning down on Carslaw and causing head clashes. Time in. Nice right hand by Rose. Both men miss some hooks on the inside as they grind toward the ropes. Very scrappy. 1-2 by Rose. Carslaw misses a bowstring right. Light jab by Rose.

Not bad at all. :thumbsup A lot of close rounds. Sometimes a bit messy but competitive and mostly toe to toe.

 

Round 12

Carslaw jabs up top and falls in with a right hand to the bent-in arms of Rose. Uppercuts on the inside by Carslaw, slapping with them. Right hand by Carslaw just skids off the side of Rose's face. Carslaw keeps pushing forward and moving Rose across the ring, but isn't landing anything clean. BIG LEFT HOOK BY ROSE, nearly spun Carslaw completely around. Very concussive shot. Carslaw keeps coming, trying to rip the body but throwing mostly arm punches. Rose jabs and catches Carslaw with mostly arm to the nose, then ducks Carslaw's wide combination as he finishes parachuting inside. Right hand by Rose as Carslaw dives in once more. Clinch. They spin and miss shots at close range.
