I don't blame Vera, how much do you have to give in to Chavez JR. I mean enough is enough. 180 he would be more than a LHW.

 

chavez is a big guy, it is remarkable he is able to stay at 160 it's his only advantage at the time. but this is just silly. castilo-corrales II was a huge offset by castillos 3 1/2 lbs!!!! advantage.

the fight should of been off, give vera same fight on the card with a relatively big name. so his time isn't wasted for this debacle.

Whats the limit for the fight? He was at least near if not 180, against Sergio at 160.

He is sounding punchy as hell. He has the nasally characteristic and slurring that punchy fighters have. He needs to hang it up. He sounds like Toney, Mosley, etc.

He should have walked a long time ago and I wonder how much money got paid to keep in in this fight? This is a damn shame and insult to the sport. I hope he keeps his word and walks if Chavez comes in at 176-180 and then sue the **** out of Arum and whoever else if he can.

 

After hearing that interview and knowing Chavez will have a massive size advantage, I just hope Vera escapes without too much more long-term damage. I really don't want to see another Gatti-Gamache situation.

 

Chavez is a ***** He should be made to pay Vera his full check for the fight plus a very large bonus per pound he's overweight. Then Chavez should join weight watchers. I'l bet his father is embarrassed as hell
