Brian Viloria is a 5'4 34 year old Light Flyweight/Flyweight with a 36-4 22 KO's 1 KO loss. Born in Waipahu, Hawaii, USA. The place where Brian is from Waipahu is a former sugar plantation town on the island of O'ahu, what an appropriate place to be born when your nickname is Hawaiian Punch. Brian is of Filipino descent and was a brilliant amateur he was the winner of the Golden Gloves way back in 99 and holds amateur wins over both Nonito Donaire and his brother Glenn, and was named The US Boxer of the year in 1999, and is a winner multiple Gold Medals as an amateur. He's had a relatively impressive career losing a close MD to Chocolatito victim Edgar Sosa and holds KO wins over Tyson Marquez and Giovani Segura by way of a disgusting hematoma on Segura's head. Brian has come up short in a few of his attempts at getting titles either being slightly edged or in one case losing it after being KO'd late by Carlos Tamara. The Hawaiian Punch then went on lost both his WBA and WBO title to El Gallo Estrada in 2013. Now can he be the man to beat the man in Gonzalez, Viloria shouldn't be written off entirely but he has a hell of a big ask in front of him. I've reworked this thread to make it exclusively about Viloria, it was partially shared with Yaegashi since I did this thread early on, and I didn't like how it turned out and I've been wanting to fix it ever since so I did.
Viloria needs little more than heart to beat Chocolatico I really enjoy watching the small fighters you see every thing speed, power, skills, stamina and heart just a shame they don't get pay and recognition accordingly.
Waipahu represent! Been watching and cheering him on since the amateurs. I'm positive he will make it a good fight, but not expecting much more from him.
