Reading the RBR, I'm not surprised with Martinez getting what sounds like a contraversial decision. Pity I didn't get my vcash on. Feel sorry for Magdaleno by sounds of it he put up a good performance

Buffer sort of gave it away that Martínez had won with his mistake. He didn't realise that the second card was for Magdaleno, so was reading as if the decision was a Martínez UD. So the third had to be for Martínez (once we found out that it wasn't a draw). Similar thing happened with Cotto-Clottey, I believe.

That is THREE CONSECUTIVE gifts for Martinez.

"Coincidentally", they happen to be all three of the bouts that have gone to decision since he joined Top Rank.

Relax, Martinez won fair and square. You have to take the belt from the champion.. (******* logic) :deal

The Albino-Ape is unbeatable when it goes to the cards.
(Arum needs to keep a belt on a PR... such a shame)

barrie jones could be a great commentator. has the expereince and knowledge of the smart. seems a smart solid understanding about politics and economics of the sport. but whats nice is he has a patter that is similar to football pundits.

This ranks somewhere between the Beltran decision (wrong man got the nod in a legitimately competitive match; should've been close but clear for Beltran Jr.) and the Burgos decision (daylight robbery, Burgos outclassed him and it ought to have been wide & comfortable).

Here. We'll make a scale of 1-10 for awfulness of judging, and provide some guideline examples.

    Rios vs. Abril - 10
    Matthysse vs. Judah - 6

    Martinez vs. Beltran - 4
    Martinez vs. Burgos - 9.5/10
    Martinez vs. Magdaleno - 7.5
