Whoa, Mayol was just handed a $200 USD bonus by Thai event promoter Naris Singwancha. In cash. Old dude looks gangsta.

    Does Thailand have a mafia?

Naris Singwancha tends to do this in events he helps stage in the Philippines, nothing new for this Thai gangsta.

That shows how tough a boxer's life is ... except for the Pacquiaos and Mayweathers ...

Welcome to Boxing Scoring Arithmetic With IB...

Today we'll be analyzing the 97-91 scorecard in Miranda vs. Mayol...

To arrive at this score, we work backward from Mayol's score. 97, out of a total 100 points. So he had Mayol losing three rounds. That would ordinarily mean 97-93 for Mayol. However, there were three knockdowns. So turn three rounds from 10-9 to 10-8 for Mayol, and that gives you 97-90. So how do we arrive at 97-91? Well, we take one of those other non-knockdown rounds and make it even - 10-10.

So this judge gave Miranda three rounds, and one 10-10.

    Make sense yet?

    ...no?

Is he going to take Miranda out back to the dumpster alley and liquidate him like a past-prime racing greyhound? :err

Here's how it really goes down, he throws money away for the simple trade that they use his name with the fighter (the way they usuallu do in Thailand)

Noticed a number of Filipino fighters named Singwancha lately?

Damn old geezer too lazy to raise thai fighters on his own.
