Boxing officials are battling to contain a scandal involving claims of bribery and the manipulation of Olympic judging panels after a series of disputed bouts. The Romanian delegate has already been suspended by the AIBA after making allegations against senior officials.

The AIBA also revealed it has been tracking possible attempts of manipulation for more than 2 months and had bought in an ICC observer when the situation became more serious.

AIBA tech delegate Terry Smith insisted that no fights had been fixed. But said the scoring system, where 3 out of 5 judges need to press a button simultaneously for a point to be awarded, was under review.

....shock horror! Inconsistencies with the scoring and talk of scrapping the points system!!
