Because he is unlikely to beat Fury doesn't mean that he won't do well at heavyweight.

And Briedis is past his prime and that is for sure. At the very least his gas tank won't be the same, as well as his speed. The guy is 37 in 3 months after all.
But that would still be a great victory for Okolie.

I'm not sure how much Briedis has left in the tank, 3-4 years ago he would have obliterated Okolie, he was good against Dorticos but again that was over 1 year ago.
I still think he has enough to get it done and should figure out the one dimensional Okolie.

I think Briedis is one of the most underrated boxers of the 21st century, he should be on tail end of everyones top 10 p4p

You clearly don't know how good Okolie is. He's better than Briedis ever was.

Briedis hasn't got a weakness, hes a fantastic overall package.

Fantastic boxer aint he? Over 200 clinches in that fight, 1 clinch every 10 seconds or so.

If this fight gets made Briedis will suddenly become shot to bits by all the people who are picking him to run through okoile.
Gun to my head I'd favour Briedis but I'm seeing the upset as a strong possibility.

Briedis is exclusively a mid range boxer. You don't want to be at mid range against an awkward, hard hitting guy with big long arms like okoile. There must be a reason why Shane is so confident his man can take home a victory.

Casual eddie flowchart: guys like you are eddie best clients.
Only one thing: Eddie already had failed with Whyte vs Povetkin I and A.J vs Usyk.
This Briedis doesn't hit less hard than Usyk, Wlad and Vitali might confirm. Glowacki too does have something to tell about this.
Ha ha ha, Glowacki rabbit punch only made this Briedis angry.
British prospect project Okolie is A.J and Eddie project.
They doesn't want to get Povetkin vs Whyte I or A.J vs Usyk I repetition here.
They does have 2 undefeated projects: Okolie and Buatsi.

Shane thinks that Briedis is enough old and Okolie will octopus him till british matchroom cards.

While Eddie does knows that Kalle & Co will demand a lot $ and Okolie too will demand a lot for this fight.
And Briedis might demand that Okolie will weight not more than 210 lbs in fight night cos it's IBF title.
If so, then Okolie will apear " weight drained victim " in eyes of british fans.

Most likely next fight for Briedis will be Opetaia.
Then next year autumn Briedis will be 1 year older than now and Eddie will have opportunity to see how old Briedis will look vs Opetaia.
To calculate is Briedis enough old for Okolie.

There is reason why they started talks with Kalle and co in spring and Eddie waited until IBF had ordered mando for Briedis.
Now again cycle repeats: Okolie beats someone, talks about Briedis and talk isn't walk.

Briedis is nearly 37, been in many tough fights, years of making this weight, I just think timing is everything in this one.

Okolie should just be fresher and little more hungry and I think it gets him through.

I'd love to believe your prediction, I'm not a fan of Okolie but I honestly think MB is just coming to the end.

    I hope I'm wrong.
