So he's just going to stand in front of Foreman and let him unload for free? People really overrate Foreman over here...........
Foreman is the hardest hitting 2 handed heavyweight in history. He possess more punch variety than anyone except Tyson and maybe one or two others. Usyk does not have Foreman's monster uppercut. Nor his hook. And even Usyk's backhand isn't nearly as powerful as Foreman's. Foreman would have stopped Chisora in 2 rounds. One uppercut and it would effectively be over. Neither Jai nor Usyk have even remotely the power of Foreman. Jai is a bit closer and he has some real speed and snap on his punches. But the sheer heavy handedness, i mean come on.
Foreman is a master ring cutter. Ali, even at 32, had the kind of feet that Breidis couldn't dream of and he chose to go to the ropes as he knew Foreman was so good at cutting the ring that he would get trapped on the ropes anyway. Breidis is maybe 6 feet tall, does not have long arms, has decent speed but nothing extraordinary, and he has never faced power like that.
Yeah I don't know if Breidis can take hits from Foreman tbf. But as I say I think if he gets into the 2nd half fight fairly untouched his chances increase big time with his superior gas tank and workrate.
Taking 70s myths a bit far there. That's a myth. He struggled to cut off the ring on anyone who actually moved like Young or Peralta He chose to do that because he didn't have the legs to move for long like he could in the past. But there's no real evidence that Foreman was some master ring cutter. Most of his opponents just stood in front of him and when they didn't he struggled.
Myths? Lol. Holyfield ranked an old Foreman as the hardest hitter he has ever faced. What myths. A 32 year old Ali still has better legs than any version of Breidis or even heavyweight Usyk. Young caught a overly cautious Foreman on a bad night and even then he got badly hurt. A more agressive pre Ziare version would have stopped Young too.
I am a fan of Usyk and he is an ATG but there is a desperate attempt here to grossly exaggerate his resume. Breidis was a very very good fighter and i am a fan but he isn't beating Foreman or Frazier. Perhaps he would have a shot vs Norton. Maybe. But against monster hitters like Foreman or Liston, forget about it. If Breidis is beating Foreman, what's next? Tony Bellew beating Sonny Liston? Chisora beating Larry Holmes? Jesus. And comparing Usyk and Foreman power wise, i mean Jesus.
And? Fighters constantly rate guys they beat higher than guys they lost to. That’s normal bias, not evidence. For a round or two? Maybe. Over 12–15 rounds? No way. Usyk maintains his footwork and pace the entire fight Ali at that stage didn’t. So we're just going to pretend Foreman was some unstoppable force who only ever lost because of “bad nights”? The truth was that he struggled with movers multiple times (Young, Peralta, even moments vs Lyle) that’s just who he was stylistically and I’d much rather talk about the actual fighter, not the legend version who only Ali could defeat.
Jai hits hard af probably as hard as 70s Foreman and Usyk has shown enough power to stun SHWs. If he can take both their punches without ever getting hurt he can take Foreman's
You are absolutely delusional bro. There is NOTHING in Opetaia’s career that shows he hits anywhere near as hard as Foreman. When has he ever KO’d a 6’6 235 lbs guy out cold? He’s crushing cans. And its a heavier, more flat-flooted Usyk that’s actively stepping into his punches that is hurting these SHWs with the absolute sharpest punches he can land, not the flimsy one Briedis fought. He is not knocking people tf out like Foreman.
