short though it is, that footage is excellent quailty, and for the brief display of fighting, it shows clearly these fighters did just as we expect and look just as busy, skillfull & accurate as any fighter we see today!

difference being they did it every 3, 4 and 5 weeks against other greats, excellent & noted fighters.

    nice little clip.

    It's on YouTube so it's fine ;)

I believe Surf-Bat provided the footage and StoneHands uploaded it :good

Check out Holman's right hook to the body. LMR deployed the shot in a very similar way years later.

Oh, and Williams was cultured enough to step off to the side under fire, not straight back.

    Class.

Here's the whole, brief story behind that clip. The essay is called "15 Seconds"...

    http://www.thesweetscience.com/news/articles-frontpage/13741-15-secondstoledo

It got a third place in the News Story category of the Barney Nagler Awards this year, while "Just Watch Mah Smoke" (about the life of Cocoa Kid) got first place for investigative journalism.

Two members of Murderers' Row resurrected and recognized by boxing, however briefly.

It's nice to see this thread.
