Brief Fight Film Shows Why Canelo Is Avoiding Demetrius Andrade

Canelo has taken on GGG, Jacobs, Saunders, Smith and Kovalev. It's laughable that you think he'd not back himself to beat Andrade. The fact is that Andrade has the popularity of a fart at a funeral.

 

He may look like he has the style to give Canelo fits but Andrade isn't that good. He's not that durable and fights in spurts almost like he loses concentration in the ring. Canelo by KO.

 

So, are you saying Canelo has been avoiding Andrade, who has fought basically no one while a titleholder and contender nigh on a decade, because he beat Liam Williams in his last fight?

 

Andrade hasn't ever had a performance like BJS-Lemieux to wow people. Not even against the string of C level fighters he's faced the last decade. He does a few cute things against limited opp and either cruises or looks like he's gonna fall apart yet again and be upset. He's 33 and when someone hasn't stepped up at that age, you know they know their limitations.

Canelo does not use peek a bo as pure style at all.
The most important thing you had forget that peek a bo main design purpose is to deliver counter punch and follow this with combos.

Best examples of peek a bo are Patterson, he was small for HW boxer, and Tyson till 1988 th.

In general tight high guards are in usage by a lot of boxers, they also are different: close, medium or extended high guard.
The variables in guard are very essential.

Hands up allows to do some kind of counters there and aren't at all designed only for face protection or just to protect chin.

 

Andrade is skilled but he's boring. Canelo would probably have to chase him down, and for what? Andrade has no fanbase. For once I agree with Canelo, I don't see the point of a fight with him.

You're comparing Liam Williams to Canelo lol.
Andrade brings nothing to the table for Canelo, no belt at 168, barely fights, no resume, can't draw a crowd, and doesn't have impressive performances.

 

Using a high guard does not make it peek-a-boo

 

That would be a peek-a-boo-boo in light of Canelo's body-work.

 

I like Dontae but he clearly has a black-bias which is very obvious in a lot of his videos.
