I think Ruiz and he have already agreed to fight each other. They're just waiting to sign with the most generous one.
Was it any good? I want to see it eventually. My problem was that looking at the previews, the Rock looked like he was made of plastic. I guess trying to make him younger.
I see him more as Achilles, sitting on the sidelines for his own personal reasons when he should be out there fighting.
What are you dreaming about ?? He has recently played a soccer match , he is not even in camp and you believe he will fight kabayel in march and wardley End of the year ? He went to all the shame and laugh to avoid both , he even had to drop a belt to avoid and now he will fight them both ? Cmon...
To be honest, I did not know Mark Kerr (the film based on) so there's that. It was a good watchable movie. Emily Blunt is hot AF of course. Usyk was great. He even had a few lines.
I do not "hate" usyk in any way but i think that his current ( and past ) behaviour is bad for the division , the sport and the fans . I would like to see him fight legit contenders and would love to see him winning . If he is too old to face the opposition he should retire and free the belts .
The same was true of Rocky Marciano he saw the wings melting and he stopped flying. I don't think Usyk will ever fight a real opponent again. If he did you are right but I think Usyk is self aware about his capabilities and knows how thin his margin over the rest of the division is if there even is one to begin with.
When you’ve fought Fury x 2, Joshua x 2, Dubois x 2 at heavyweight I think we can allow him one of the lower tier fighters. Look at his resume it’s like a murderer’s row. Whilst Kabayel is a good fighter and earned his shot, he is nothing amazing and Wardley has earned his belt but he is not exactly an amazing opponent, neither is Itauma ready yet. So what’s the issues with a Ruiz or Wilder type guy? They’d be fun fights and still decent enough opposition for a run out, he’s probably wanting to show respect to the other former champs from his era and have enough name recognition for a payday even if their risk has diminished.
When I look at his HW resume I see basically 3 opponents. He needs to stop fighting the same guys over and over and fight a young lion, not the old guard on the way out.
Oh brother. I was happy about Fury v Makhmudov but then I realized. If Fury wins Usyk would totally do a trilogy wouldn't he? Usyk has nothing left to prove. And I am insane for thinking he has been a terrible champion whose destroyed the division.
You really can't see the issue. Heres the list of guys Usyk HASN'T FOUGHT Kabayel Hrgovic Frank Sanchez Ajagba Okolie Bakole Jared Anderson Miller Parker Torrez Wardley Jalolov Makhmudov Zhang Knyba Salamov Hughie Fury Huni Itauma Andy Ruiz Wilder Luis Ortiz Usyk hasn't just cleaned out the division its a mess!!!
Trust me - I want Usyk to fight someone that he hasn't fought before. Not some kickboxer, not Wilder, not Ruiz, but a top contender. Half that list is trash. Kabayel or Wardley. Take their "0" away because those are the guys that are going to fight the hardest.
He needs Fury because he wants easy money against a guy with little to no shot at beating him. He is using the Fury booking strategy.
