What clearly happened is he broke up with Fury after some bad advice from this forum telling him he could do better, then went back on the dating scene and realised that actually nobody was a better choice in the end, that they were all horrific fuglies. So now he realises his mistake and wants Fury back. The good thing about Usyk holding up the division and not retiring is that it stops some of these others being 'champion'. If he retired we know Matchroom is getting a special belt delivery for their favourite brand.
https://www.ringmagazine.com/news/w...fter-voluntary-defense-4JndPs0L16z98KMQ0EKuFo Wbc says usyk has to fight kabayel after voluntary title defence . Sound good but probably usyk will stretch his next fight well into 2026 , then take a year off so we have 2027 . End of 2027 he will retire without fighting kabayel i guess
Hes going to vacate the WBC title unless someone coughs up a lot of money for that fight. That being said, Riyadh season 2026/27 does start in October, so we might get lucky with Turki willing to cough up the money for it.
