We know Vitali has a sturdy chin, what about Briggs?

Looking at Briggs record, it appears he does have at least an above average chin.

He lost to Lewis by TKO, no shame in that though. He took some heavy shots from Lewis, but got up and kept fighting. He actually lost due to exhaustion when he fell as he missed a punch and the ref called the fight off.

His other TKO loss was to a 215lb Darroll Wilson (who was KO'd by Tua 2 fights later)...that seems suspect to me. Other than that Briggs record looks good. He's been in with some guys who can punch, such as Foreman, & McCline.

He is gonna be getting hit too much by Vitale, its gonna be sad to watch.
I dont know how good his chin is but he is getting KO for sure.

I think his chin is fine but if he is gassed that would be a different story. Anyone can be knocked out even Vitali which Briggs will show on Saturday.

Yes, I think his chin is pretty fair. It wouldn't shock me if he went the distance...But I don't think this fight goes the distance. I think he'll be terribly dangerous early and if he can't do it, what everyone assumes will happen, will probably happen. Shannon loses his steam and gets ground down to a probable stoppage. He may not be knocked off his feet. May not even be wobbled badly. But hurt enough.

Briggs will be KO'd before or in the 5th round!

Briggs is now older and still has asthma and is fighting someone who is much better than Briggs last few opponents. That is not a good combination.

When someone hopes that Briggs comes in good shape, I hope they are including being able to control his asthma.

The most recent video of Briggs jogging, he was wheezing badly.

Hope we get to see some good action.

Well, that's certainly a compelling argument. Fair enough. Well put.

not too sure about briggs chin, havent seen enough of him getting hit, but i think the most action we'll see is in the early rounds, with briggs swiging but vitali easil dodging the shots. vitali has not been going for the ko as of late, and briggs, as mentioned everywhere, will gas sooner than later.

vitali's style recently is not going to challenge shannons chin, but his head will get worn out, but not before his lungs.

It is fine but when you get punched in the face a lot you tend to fall down at some point.

i just hope that after the fight everyone isnt saying, what did you expect, Briggs fought no one in the top 25 HWs in his last few fights and received a title shot. Briggs has his weight down and Im hoping that he comes out guns blazing and KOs Vitili. Briggs would then fight Wlad and lead to a undisputed champion.

If he KOES Vitali then no-one can ever doubt him again. This is a man who slightly troubled one of the greatest men ever to lace up gloves, and a KO over a man who took the shots of the same man (he may have been shot but power is the last thing to go).

Hell, people question his stamina and yet he won a belt in the final round against some guy.

Fair chin, but not anywhere nearly as good as Vitali's.
