We can all pass judgement on the fight, Briggs didn't look all there in the eyes coming into the ring, I may be being naieve but I like to think Briggs did have a brain shutdown as he retired on neurological ground, it also doesn't rubbish the rest of his career

How does he explain being downed - let alone KTFO - by a grazing jab to the top of his scalp? :huh Fit to fight or not?

That was an awful 'fight'. Greens a coward for not fighting people in their prime.

    Desperate people do desperate things.
Shame Briggs resorted to such desperation. I doubt he's learned much though, and if given the same situation tomorrow, he'd probably do it all again.

did somebody earlier compare mundine to katsidis in terms of opposition? Mother of god. But in all seriousness it seems to be that they couldn't prove beyond reasonable doubt that he was guilty, it's not going to change what a majority of people think. And as somebody stated earlier, green most likely was advised to say it was a legitimate punch , although I'm sure he feels differently.

Mmmmm , lots of views and ;lots of opinions , so i'll give my blow by blow opinion

    Starting with Green ,.

Well he was the promoter and main event ,, he had the money and the backing to fight ANYONE in the world , but he choice to fight Briggs , ,,, WHY ,,,,SIMPLE ,, , because he knew Paul was ****ed , It was common knoledge ,Briggs was not the same fighter and was never going to be, and Green knew this after all they had sparred and were supposodly mates , ,,, BUT ,,, he was a houshold name , and it would draw attention from the 99% uneducated , So bring in Briggs , and just in case he had a punchers chance , only give him 6 weeks to prepare and make him lose more weight than neccessary ,,,, This fella's is called hedging your bets .

Now Hussien ,,, well he took on the job ,,, he knew Paul was ****ed and he knew Paul was on a hiding ,, now he claims that , it was to protect Paul , but personaly my thoughts are the 10% played a bigger part than protecting Paul, after all we all know how he protects his other fighters , he simply does'nt put them in with anyone who will be a good test , and **** me the odd time he done it , the facka (elmore ) landed a lucky punch.

Now Briggs , well it can never be proved so its all going to end up personal opinions , but my view is simple ,, the guy was fucjked and finished , has far has being a profesional athlete , but did he go get a job did he **** , he was lucky enough to have one last thing HIS NAME , and his reputation has a fighter , so knowing full well what it takes to fight big fights , knowing that he did'nt have it , he took the fight anyway and SOLD HIS NAME ,,, my take is that he knew he was being used by Green , but face with the prospect of go get a proper job , or take 200 grand,or whatever it was , he choice the money fight , and he knew what he was going to do ,,, i have no doubt that Briggs went in there with the attitude of , well **** you Green if you want my name and you want my scalp , i'll take your money but you aint gonna hurt me ..

Got know doubt that Hussien knew his mind, set and even probaly encouraged it , Has to wether or not is was all fruadulent well the courts cannot decide or find prove , but guess what , they were NEVER , EVER gonna prove otherwise , after all how can they say wether or not a palm to the top of the head is enough to ko a bloke like Briggs.

Plus unless they have the names and adresses of all the big winners and can associate them witrh any of the players involved , well who knos .

One thing i do know is from reports , there was plenty of activity and plenty made , so it makes you wonder IF , THE FIX WAS IN just who was involved , AFTER ALL they all changed there stories ,

Even Green , was upset,,, then he was'nt , alls i can say it ranks right up there with Fenech ,,Nelson 3 ,,,, when even Nelson came out and claimed the fix was supposed to be a draw but Our Jeffrey stooged him
