He deserves more than 25,000.He showed a lot of heart and gave it the best shot he could.Audley gets a million and Briggs gets 25,000 that seems very unfair.

Nothing new to boxing........this crap wont stop until the court system has the balls to start putting these ****ing leaches called promoters behind bars......

.....you would think that the first thing thats paid off right off the top by promoters is medical insurance for every fighter thats fighting under their ****ing banner......

.......how in the **** are these scumbag promoters going to tell us that they're going to send a "never was fighter into a ring with a Klitchko" and expect that fighter on the sure end of a beatdown to pay the hospital bill?????

Briggs is a fighter who put his life in jeapardy by refusing to sit on his stool, and instead came out to start every ****ing round and take a sure ****ing beating round after ****ing round......:twisted::twisted::fire:fire:fire:fire:fire

I'm so ****ing upset right now that if in front of me was a ****ing promoter, I punch him in the ****ing face, take him to the hospital, and tell him to pay for his own ****ing hospital bill.
Where is ****ing Bob Arum?????I want to see him!!:fire

Finkel & Co are the counterparts in this case. K2 paid the agreed sum (750.000) and the question (breach of fiduciary duty, conversion, unjust enrichment and breach of contract) is did Finkel & Co "steal" Briggs´s money.

Finkel has been around in this business for over 30 years and it´s pretty obvious to me that he was no marionette for K-Bro´s. It doesn´t concern the brothers how the agreed 750.000 was divided and if somebody ask them I´m sure they would sympathize Briggs, but would have no knowledge of the contracts between Briggs and Finkel etc.

This is how I see it. I wish all the best for Briggs and hope that he gets justifiable sum in the end. But to blame Klitschkos about Briggs own contractual situation, that´s too thick!

it is disgusting, if all of this is true of course, that ******* promoters take a huge slice like that for sitting at ringside whilst the main man is in there putting his life and health on the line.

Boxers should get every penny, its high time promoters were no longer allowed to "own" fighters instead bid on individual fights.

I know De La Hoya speaks highly of Finkel

People should remember that a lot of other people have harder jobs and get paid less all over the world. The army for one is a good example. Briggs is a 38 year old man who has been given an education and who has worked in this buisness for about 15 years. He can not really blame anyone but himself for ending up in a mess like this.

He did not even get a cool million for the Klit fight? Briggs should have checked the contract himself. As the ref always say, "protect yourself at all times".

    Are you ****ing kidding me?

This is'nt just about Briggs. Situations like Briggs' happens to boxers all the time.

Yory Boy Campas for one was robbed of millions by Bob Arum and Top Rank.

Promoters screw both literate and illiterate fighters year round, its what they do best.

Is someone going to tell me with all these santioning bodies and state commisions at every turn, there is'nt a system in place the ensures medical insurance for a fighter that would at least cover a fighters immediate injuries suffered during the course of a fight?????

Why does boxing need commisions then if the fighter himself has to look out to cover his own damn medical bills after a beatdown he's recieved???

Dont give me this **** that its the fighter at fault for not reading the contract.

In this Briggs event, there should be an immediate investigation as to where exactly the 725K owed to Briggs went.

I'd be willing to mortgage my house to bet that it did not go to pay off hospital bills.

Don't get me wrong I don't like seeing fighters get ripped off but Briggs really should know better. The Yori Boy Campus situation was different because he had a lot less say in what went on. Most smart guys start their own promotions off now. Anyway a few weeks ago it was meant to be 2.5 mil, then 250 and now this so there is a lot of bull **** going about.

This is why I believe he will win this lawsuit. Big people are looking at this now, to find a permanent fix to this reoccurring chapter in a boxers career.

    Much Respect For Shannon.

    Disgraceul.

I hope he not only gets what's owed but damages too.
This is total bull**** of the highest order and an embarrassment to the sport of boxing. The sanctioning bodies in this fight must be made to guarantee these purses.
