I don't think V.K. was really afraid of either "Byrd or Lewis." I'm sure since V.K. is a real pro athlete and businessman that he had concerns, but not real fear...... V.K. would've accepted rematches with both Chris and Lenny, but them deals soured for various reasons beyond team Klit's control....

Briggs was known as a four-round fighter 15 years ago. What chance does the asthmatic, roid-abusing 270 pound version of Briggs have ? He was being beat by a fossilized George Foreman in his 20s. There is no way anyone can believe he has the stamina to hang with Vitali.

I certainly don't see Vitali as this iron willed, H2H beast that many people do.

A good, Frank Bruno level heavyweight, that's all.

Not a borderline great boxer like his brother.

Yep, that's about the level I have him at as well but lets not start the VITLAY v Bruno argument again as I'm tired of arguing with the Klitschko boxrec warriors :nut

I dispute the A+ chin bollocks too, fighters with A+ chins don't stagger around hanging on for dear life like he did after that uppercut against Lewis.

Now we'll get the "that shot would have knocked out anyone else in history" argument from the same types that mock the argument when you use it elsewhere.....Groundhog day time.

Also didn't Vitali get put on Jelly Legs by Corrie Sanders? I thought that was a knockdown too. Too bad Sanders was in such poor shape he was gassed after 2 rounds.

Sorry but I'm not going to fall into the trap of picking a gooftrooper over Vitali. Vitali has made a good career of out beating the daylights out of pathetic gooftroopers, why should this be any different? Let's see Vitali take on some REAL competition..Then we have a bet. Every time Vitali has been challenged or put under adversity..he lost.

I am so excited for Wlad-Povetkin. Wlad is the real deal my friends. He might be the best technical big man in history. He also has devastating two fisted power, and a pulverizing left jab. More importantly, He always finds a way to fight the best out there(unlike Vitali). Wlad is building himself quite a legacy and title reign. Povetkin is a highly skilled undefeated former olympic champion and top contender..this will be a very good win for Wlad. Povetkin is a more skilled, better combination puncher than anyone Wlad has ever fought. Wlad is on his way to being called a "Great" fighter. Pretty soon. All he needs on his resume is that fast explosive puncher..David Haye. Once victory over Haye is achieved, Wlad is a "great fighter".

    Go Wlad!

Dude, drop the glue-gun and get some air.... V.K. is head and shoulders above Franklin Bruno by far....

Bruno's jab and power is what got Bruno as far as he could go. WORD! But Bruno lacked lotsa' little mental and technical things that caused him to fail on the whole......

V.K. and Bruno are in different leagues........:deal

    Agree with all that.

It's alright having a 90% KO ratio but when most of your opponents are **** that ought to be a given.

He gave Lewis a hard fight.

    So what?

Bruno did, Mavrovic did, Holyfield did the 2nd time, Mercer did - one is an ATG, two others very good HWs... the other a footnote.... that's his legacy, but isn't that Vitali's legacy as well?

He's just living off his far superior brother these days, all the H2H comparisons are just bollocks, a prime Wlad (basically this one) would beat his ass something rotten :yep
