Even as big and bulky as Briggs is, and even though he has limited stamina due to being so massive.............the guy still has brutal power, even being totally out of gas, and huffing and puffing as late as the 12th round. Bone jarring, knockout power.

    As Liakhovitch learned.

Big deal. The guys a massive heavyweight. 8lbs in a week is absolutely nothing. Iv done 10lbs in week. The problem is Briggs opposition. If he's going to stay busy at least fight a live pulse.

who cares about his damn weight....what about absolute mismatches and waste of fights...the last 4 guys combined for nearly 50 losses.... as bad as the state of the heavy weight division is, i think he would be safe fighting a top 15 guy next.....

Yes indeed, Tyrone Brunson scored 19 first round KO in his first 19 fights but the quality of opposition has to be questioned...

I understand fighters tend to need a tune-up after coming back but not like this... props to Klitschko to fight Peter straight away on his come back:good

Nah, as mentioned by several posters 258 lbs is a typo, he was 268 last week..

I also don't get why haters call him fat, I'd say he is massive and bulky..

Briggs mentioned in his facebook that he'll be fighting again on June 15th at Mexico and on July 17 at Venezuela..

if briggs fights 10 times in 10 months against guys like that, i could care less...its just when they wait 6 months, fights a guy with 18 losses, then another 8 months against a 11 win 10 losses kinda guy

He looked good, physically. 6 pack showing. But, I definitely think he should be lighter.

Whats up guys, I used to be on here like crazy now not qutie as much but it is good to see Briggs pounding some guys out again. I think he should just keep fighting non-stop like he is I heard he is planing on fighting in June and July too with a bigger fight at the garden in September. Briggs is looking pretty good though on this return. The positive test was likely for albuterol or clenbuterol which are both used to control asthma. There is no way he would have had such a short suspension for something anabolic.

I read something of a plan from Briggs's manager to fight every month now but August and then face Maddalone in September, hopefully at MSG, and then get a title shot. Tomato cans and a journeyman will not land anybody a title shot.

Briggs should fastforward this fight with Maddalone for june, then set up a good september fight against someone like Derrick Rossy or Jonathan Banks for september. After that he will be in a good position to be considered for title fights or at least for lucrative eliminators.

Just to mention it, Briggs is not fat, but he is overwheight, he just carries too much excessive muscle mass. I think he would do better dropping at least 15lbs.

Briggs seems to have financial trouble that's why he's boxing a bum a week. If he keeps up the 1 round KOs over journeymen then sooner or later he should get himself in line for a bigger pay day.
