I wouldnt know where to start in terms of total money for Briggs in the fight, but you would assume 3 kg's overweight would result in a 10-20k pay decrease.

so briggsy has a 3.6kg start on green I wonder wheather this was planned agree to a 84 limit which green comes in at then come in still under the CW limit but nearly 4kg heavier then green. depending on how he puts weight on betwen now and the fight he could be 6 KG heavier then green when the bell sounds

Pretty unprofessional if Briggs signed the contract saying he would make the weight. Then again though maybe thats what Green gets for his catchweight IBO title fight farce.

It's unprofessional to have such a contract stipulation in a title fight in the first place.

Green might as well get warmed up for fighting a legit 90kg plus fighter, as it appears Shane Cameron will be his next fight after Briggs.

Briggsy will certainly lose some money from his pay cheque..most fight contracts have a penalty written into it.

i think its a bit of a smart arse response from briggsy..saying to Danny your a crusierweight world champion fighting at an agreed weight....its for a crusier world title..im fighting at cruiser..or closer to it

bit of gamesmanship from the hurricane..i like it!

Yepp Paul is taking a calculated risk, hoping he can pull the upset.

I dont think Paul will tho....

True Ced, but will it be advantageous to him?

Briggs is already 17 lbs above his old fight weight - so the excess might mean he just plain can't catch Green.

Makes you wonder what weight Briggs was getting around at 6 to 9 weeks ago - he had pretty big chops on him remember.

But if he's been training hard the weight should have fallen off by the week - SOMETHING JUST PLAIN DOESN'T ADD UP HERE!

Reckon if it happens to go into the 4th round it'll be just a matter of when Briggs gasses out.

I think Pauls only hope is to Knock out green in the first 4 or so rounds so maybe he thinks I aint going 12 either way so have the extra weight hope it helps deliver a bigger punch and hope for the KO early, who knows I just think paul and Billy are too professional to come in 3.2KG over a limit when they have had that much time to get to the agrees weight, if it isn't a plan then it wont go more then 2 rounds

Paul did a good 10 rounds with peter Mitrevski and was throwing plenty of punches so just that makes you think he must have been in a little shape, peter moves alot more then green ( not as heavy handed obviously) but he chased for the 10 so lets weight and see
