vs calloway he was as slow as. vitali will laugh at him in the ring imo. and briggs' hands r far too low as well. vitali will connect with the majority of his punches.
This is what one would think. But Vitali isn't getting any younger, and Briggs does at least appear to have whipped himself into shape. Still, there's shape, and there's boxing shape. Briggs may look good, but may not have the endurance to outlast Vitali if he doesn't get him early. My guess is that Briggs doesn't get it. I would be shocked if Briggs won.
yes if he doesn't get the ko within 5 rounds i think briggs is a sitting duck. he will get jabbed non-stop and it will take his wind.
Wouldnt say he was slow, here's the two other fights he had this year [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BRVBuU-fhEs[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P0qvZeH1dHM[/ame] Fast for his size
If Briggs connects he could change the fight at any point. Though not likely, it should make a HW fight that is interesting for the first time in a long time. Im rooting for Briggs, he will fight all the current champions provided that he keep it up.
Got no clue, but I doubt their top 50. I was only posting the videos so the ts could see that briggs isnt excectly slow
Briggs def isn't fast imo. He stands tall and is usually fairly wide open for punches. Just look at the Ibragimov fight and you can see it.
Eh...that video evidence doesn't exactly support him being fast for his size. In the first one he only throws three punches (all hooks, a single and a double) in about 2 full seconds. That isn't particularly fast, even for a super heavyweight. In the second he threw four punches and only landed the 1-2...and again, it wasn't a terribly fast 1-2. Both Klitschko brothers throw the same combination much faster. If you think that double hook in the first video is fast, look at this: [yt]hO_sWnawpU4[/yt] That's five hooks in the same two-second span (four land). The only area where you could call Shannon fast for his size is the first punch - and he isn't that fast for his size on the first punch (more like average). He is certainly not a fast combination puncher.
