When Lewis was active people were booing and hating on him. Once he retired they remembered the many positive aspects of his reign, skills and career.

If the Klits can stay away from more devastating losses and retire with a couple more wins they will be remembered as outstanding, unique champions of their time.

Pretty much hits the nail on the head.

I know we will look back in ten years (if they both have retired, cause I'm sure they could still win :yep) and respect their title reigns, and how respectable of champions they are.

I don't follow. 3 fights in 2000, 2 in 2001 then a few delays negotiating for Tyson 2002 followed by Byrds IBF courtcase and Lewis's lawsuit against King for the Tyson rematch.

I watched Briggs vs. Klitschko on live stream. I was constantly on the edge of my seat, chewing fingernails, mainly because I was wondering when Briggs would be KO'ed. BTW, I do not think Vitali Klitschko is robotic, he's actually a pretty smooth boxer with interesting herky-jerky defense, not to mention he stays busy during fights. Wlad is a little boring to watch though, but still a great champion.

It eases the sting to me when you put the word champions in quotations.

Bums could be "champions" today :yep

I bet if Monzon fought today he would be boring ****er too? For example I never liked Pavlik fights but I always gave him a credit and gave his trailer park fans some slack.

The klits arent great fighters, their decent. The fact is that all the other heavies are embarassingly bad. That's not hate it's just calling it for what it is. You can't tell me the Klits are great fighters if you've ever actually watched a great fighter.

    Your spelling is decent.

The Kilshcko's are large solid heavies, active, have great stamina, and also in Vitali's case, a iron chin. Mix that with being great at fighting tall, mixed with power, you have a recipe that will make any heavyweight in history have to come in well prepared in order to defeat either brother (in their current form).
