Raymi shouldn't have been ranked, period.

I agree completely. I don't think much of Haye, either. But, if this fight actually gets made he should destroy old Shannon.

Yeah, the only justification for Haye being ranked at the moment after four years on the shelf is because de Mori was before Haye smashed him - but honestly de Mori fought equally awful competition to Briggs. Neither had beaten anyone top 40 in years to merit a world ranking. In fact, the last remotely creditable victory for either is their respective stoppages of chinny blown-up cruiser Rob Calloway (2010 for Briggs, 2012 for de Mori)

I think love might've been s****ping the bottom of the top 40 when Briggs fought him, but there was a fringe belt involved which resulted in the ranking.

Edit: he probably wasn't quite top 40

He might be IF HE IS AS CAPABLE as he was before he retired...but after 3 + years he really should be proving it again and not going on his ancient past victories. He should have to fight a top 10 fighter to get in the top 10 IMO. Anything else and its corrupt. But we all know MONEY TALKS. Haye clearly is a draw as he proved vs DeMori....selling out an arena against a relative unknown. He practically did the same again before he even named his next opponent! That's a deliberate tactic. Still no use us die hard fans whinging about it Haye is like all about the casual fans and the £££'s. Even Hearn promotes fights mostly aimed to the casuals.

I hope Briggs has a full and complete round of medical testing, including brain scans, before he's allowed in a ring again.
