Seems Kalle wants some of Shannon and will probably send one of his Sauerland HWs to Dubai. Last yr he signed a contract to copromote in the UAE.

Hopefully, Robbe Helenius' dad is right that Robbe will return to face another world champ. Faded Briggs would still be a solid comeback for Helenius IMO.:thumbsup

 

So the last time Shannon had anything to do with a Klitschko must have been one of the worst periods of his life.

Bad luck injury a few minutes into his biggest fight in a decade, and it happened to be against an absolute giant of a man that just does not, stop, throwing punches. Got worse for him though cause Vitali doesn't sit down on his shots either. They're heavy but not gonna knock out a big, stubborn ****, with a decent beard. So he takes 12 rounds of some of the worst punishment I've personally ever seen.

Then the hospital stay. Really grusome injuries. Vitali broke his eye socket, his nose, even his ****ing forehead, burst his ear drum too and all of that is just the superficial damage. Family must have been devastated.

The whole time he was in hospital he would of known he hadn't been paid yet either. Those snakes he surrounded himself with did almost as much damage to him as Vitali did. So he took the beating of his life and he didn't even end up with anything to show for it.

and he probably couldn't even bring himself to hate the guy who beat him up either. One of the interesting parts of the fight for me (only thing) was watching Vitali's will to inflict harm. There were a few periods there where I though he started to waiver a bit. These two seemed to get on quite well from everything I saw leading up to the fight. Did Vitali visit him in hospital?



Maybe I'm superstitious but I think Briggs should have no contact of any kind with any Klitschko. Ever again. Stay the **** away.



Shannon's a cool guy. He could lay a claim to being the GOAT Can Crusher. He loves to talk. He's a larger than life character and he actually was a good fighter. He was also a very real picture of power in a boxing ring and as one of the attributes coveted most in the fighting arts he will be remembered.

The sport needs guys like this around just as much after they hang up the gloves, so he needs to stop fighting.

If he must make some money before hanging them up then just crush some cans and make some fights with the other American heavies that ruled the division with him. Make lots of noise, hype it up, bank some green and softly beat each other into retirement.
