Wlad has a damn near 90% KO rating (one of the highest in the history of the sport) - and boxing simps are crying that he's a 'bad finisher'

but it's nice to see people deviating from the broken record tired argument and acknowledging that Wladimir displayed pure boxing skill tonight...he mastered the distance - peppered the piston-jab all night - and finished the show w/ a brilliant leaping left-hook.

Sure - it would be nice to see Wlad just pull out his guns and empty his clips - but that's never been his style - he measures opponents and hunts them down methodically.

Haye will make him fight in a more anarchy-styled manner - and hopefully that will shut some of your sour-pusses up.

Wlad won every round and then got the KO. Hard to complain about that.

Wlad looked great. Stopped a top challenger and dominated the fight. He needs to be recognized as a great fighter.

    Was it really that brilliant?

He was against a clearly limited opponent, with limited skill, and no desire to let his hands go.

And while he did dominate the fight, he did it in a way that was very unfriendly to television viewers in the US.

Wlad could have on numerous occasions shot his jab or his right hand into Chambers chest, of maybe, if it is possible bend at his waist and delivered some hooks to his body.

If he did this, he would turn a 12 round fight into 5 rounds.

    Agreed.

I'm not really feeling the Wlad hate on large parts of this forum. The guy's calculating and conservative, sure, but he's too big and too technically gifted with a great jab.

Not really feeling the Chambers hate, either. He was up against it. Just too out-gunned against a superior opponent.

Wlad is a very good figher, but his size and his lack of agility, which is the source of his strength and power, will be his worst enemy against Haye who will use movement, speed, and determination to blast Wlad out in what I assume will surprise a lot of you on here considering that you seem to be blind to Wlad's flaws.

Wlad lands on Haye like that, and we'll have one dramatic scenario.

Let us not forget that Haye can't take a shot too well. And Wladimir has power from hell in both hands.

It was a good, yet frustrating performance by Wlad. Chambers was a broken man by about the 4th or 5th round. Steward was begging and pleading with him to let his hands go and put the guy away. He finally went after the guy in the 1tth and got the stoppage in the 12th.

10-4.... Ed Chambs proved slippery, yet largely in-effective..... Wlad Klit himself was off-base for several rds despite landing a good Big Mac right in round 2 against Chambs.......... Chambs by round 5, knew it was fruitless; so he looked to last the 12 round distance... Well, Ed Chambs came close but, he gets no cigar....... Klit parked Chambs' ass like a Cadillac in the final seconds of round 12........ No count needed...... Ed Chambs was out like a bulb........ WORD!

I disagree --- why was Pac's 12 round bonanza against clottey so much more acceptable to you and US fans?

Wlad hurt Eddie a couple times - had him stumbling silly in the 2nd round - and damn near had him in a coma in the 12th - what more would you like to see?

would you like to see him crucified perched atop the arena?

Chambers is a high-skill guy - he was just undersized and unwilling to let his hands go because he was getting ripped - it's pretty simple.

but none of that should be used to discredit Wlad's performance.

In today's divisions ALL of the other guys are severely limited compared to both Klitschkos and it shows.

Or when Haye slips Wlad's jab because he moves his head and not in the same way Chambers does, we'll have one dramatic scenario, especially considering how slow Wlad is to adjust and how fast with his combinations Haye is.

Let us not forget that Wlad can't take a shot too well. And Haye has power from hell in both hands.
