I think Arreola won rnds 3 and 4 in part because Adamek's shoe came apart. I noticed after they taped the shoe up, Adamek reasserted himself...

I think he's perfect where he's at. At 222 vs Estrada he gassed in rds 8 & 9. More size would reduce his handspeed and combo's which are his 2 biggest assets. Also aside from the Klitschko's he could compete and probably beat any othe HW's, there aren't really any other big decent skilled guys like Arreola. Vs the Klitschko's 10 more lbs would mean anything.

how much closer is he to a title shot after this fight?

and how much of a set back is this for Arreola?

 

Much better stamina and activity at this weight. Didn't look sluggish like he did vs Estrada.

I think he threw some real nice hard punches. Don't be fooled those were shots and Arreola can take some good shots. Nice compact short combos. Great fighter, solid promise.

 

Adamek's tough as nails. One of boxing's throwback warriors.

 

If Arreola somehow manages to get himself in shape and look impressive in his next fight I don't think its a big of a set back. The guy is fun to watch and he is marketable, easily one of the more exciting HW to watch if not the most exciting. Arreola is a good fighter but he is just too damn fat.

As for Adamek maybe Poveitken next and then a crack at Haye, hell why not Haye next?

Arreola's done. He's ESPN Friday Night Fights at this point. A huge waste of talent. Adamek will get big opportunities, but he won't prevail. He can school the Arreolas of the HW division but he'll be schooled and KO'd by a Klitschko or Haye.

 

I think it could well be a big setback for Arreolla because in all probability he's never gonna find the self discipline to get in great shape (how many wake up calls do you need? i mean he was crying after the klit fight). therefore, fans are gonna get tired of paying to watch him come to the ring in dismal shape, throw wild shots, get tired, show 'heart', and then lose. If he did somehow get himself in propper shape and tighten up his skills, it probably wouldn't be a big set back, but again that's unlikely.

i think it goes a long way to getting admaek towards a title fight. Adamek's marketable and is a legit top 10 hw now (and many will claim he's top 5-who knows)

 

Arreola only sold around 5,000 tix in his home town tonight. This loss is a huge set back for marketing him in L.A.

 

Yeah areound round 7/8 i was suprised how bad Arreola's face looked. At the end of the fight he was looking bad.

 

Then see the Arreola's face. Bxoing isnt about standing in front of and trading punches.
