The attendances would dwarf the US venues Not fighting Martin McMurray or Matty Macklin in the UK was a mistake GGG would be huge over here
I agree to an extent but the UK fans are only passionate about their own. Cant see him selling out arenas over here unless he is against top quality UK fighters, and quite simply there are none in his weight division.
GGG is one of few fighters that could fight in the UK without worrying about hometown decissions and british stoppages hard to rob someone who has a granite chin and KO's everybody
Not so sure. If he fought Monroe in the UK he coulda got stopped, as he did take 2 or 3 clean shots in round 4.
GGG-Froch in UK would've been huge and an incredible fight to watch. It's a shame we'll never get to see that.
Can't see how he ever gets the chance to unify,Saunders isn't in danger of fighting any live body at the mo and then I'd Canelo gets it he's gonna use it to fry GGG in any negotiations.
Im not sure why fighters like GGG level (fame wise) dnt choose to fight overseas more. Guys like pac and may dont need to but US based fighters trying to make a name should do this. Every boxing fan and even casuals crawl out from under a rock to buy or watch it live at the arena because they know how rare it is to see such a big fight in your backyard. When rowsey fought in melbourne it went gangbusters and i believe set records for gate sales.. The only issue i see with this is time zones not making it ideal for the massive U.S fanbase to tune in and watch it but pacs fight in macau negated this by holding it during the day (weighing in would also be pushed further back so theres really no difference for the fighter)
"Yeh listen X is a good fighter but did get he get viciously knocked out infront of 80 thousand at wembley tho?" Just doesnt have a nice ring to it compared to what froch is saying now
Disagree. Everyone fan I know going to this fight is going because GGG is there. If Brook was fighting Vargas, they may have gone. But now it's GGG, people are going crazy for tickets.
