It was meant to be guys, Rios just became a champ and Ortiz just did last night also. Remember the beef between these two guys, it will sell huge no doubt and it will be as intense as Oscar vs Vargas Bad Blood fight.

Now don't tell me Rios is too small because he is a champ at 135lbs and Ortiz at 147lbs. Shane Mosley was champ at 135 and fought Oscar at 147lbs.

Make this sheit happen and it will be a war starting at the press tours. :happy:bbb

they are too far apart in weight, if rios jumped up that much he would get stopped.

Rios has plenty of viable opponents to continue his ascension against at LW.

I'd rather see Ortiz-Maidana II :yep

Rios has a style built to wear down smaller men than himself. He wouldn't fair very well against a man who's now TWO whole weight divisions above his weight class.

I think Ortiz would work him pretty badly. Much bigger frame and more skilled.

It sounds nice, but Ortiz would catch so much **** for KOing a LW champion.

Not everyone can make moves like Mosley of Pacquiao did. Even though Rios is big and strong at 147 he's also a bit flabby and I dont dont he body or style will work at 147 esp against Ortiz who looks so strong and powerful at 147. Rios prob gets destroyed early if they fight at 147 he gets hit too much and is a slow starter Ortiz could easily blitz him and take him out of there if he doesnt handle the weight good. Even before at 140 I wasnt sure about Rios' chances vs Ortiz now at 147 I def dont think he has much of a chance. Wouldve been a great fight with a great story but for now I think it's not possible. Maybe later down the road Rios might work his way up in weight and they can make it happen but to make a huge leap to 147 against Ortiz I dont see bein a good idea or to competitive even though I'm sure Rios would take the fight cause he's a ballsy **** but IMO I dont see it happening or bein a good fight.

A year ago I said Ortiz would beat him. I still think so, even more so.
