Instead of talking down Bute-Dawson, Dawson fans should be hoping that match happens- especially if they think it'll be that easy for him. Chad needs a prime, name opponent to build his own name against and right now his pickings at 175 are far too slim. If he takes Bute out easily, he goes from a no-name with a P4P ranking to a star.

It's hilarious! Bad Chad can't draw flies to ****, and no one in the big wide world cares about him, whereas Bute's stock is higher than ever, with good exposure on HBO, and even though they think Bute wouldn't win a round, they STILL don't want their boi to face Bute!:patsch

Soon, Dawson will have more fans in Montreal than in the whole of the USA....!

True.:good Bute is a skilled boxer a top fighter at 168 and I would love to see Dawson-Bute late this year or early next year. I think Dawson would even go to Montreal to make it happen.

Tarver and Johnson were still top 5 LHWs when Dawson fought them. Tarver was the IBF champion. Neither one of those guys were washed up. Harding was still a top 10 LHW when Dawson beat him. The washed up guys I'm talking about that Bute fought were guys like Joppy. Joppy was totally irrelevant when Bute fought him.

Name me some guys that Bute beat that weren't either washed up or a straight ahead puncher.

Joppy was still more competitive than Zuniga, for example. When a quality fighter trains hard, he can have his moments... even if he is way past it. You know that better than most.

Whom would you like Dawson to fight after Pascal (assuming he beats Pascal), if not Bute?

I would love to see a Bute/Dawson fight. However, if I were Bute's manager, I would stay away from that fight. Bute has no reason to go up in weight and fight a guy like Dawson.

Berrio-Andrade and Bika were still top 10 when Bute fought them then...
Joppy ? Yes that was **** ! Epifanio Mendoza ? That was **** also....
It goes both ways and you know it.

Dawson said plenty of times he can come down to 168 lbs. Why do you assume Bute would go up?

I never said I didn't want to see the fight. I said I wouldn't take the fight if I were Bute's people. If they are willing to take the fight though, as a fan, I would love to see it.

I don't think Dawson can make 168 anymore to be honest even though he said it in the past. His last fight he weighed 190+ on fight night.
